The year was 3005, and everyone has someone. No one was lonely. No one has more love. No one has little love. The government saw how people were treated, harmed, and, killed for. Now everything was different. With the help The All Love Association known as A.L.A. Some was paired with people that they did not like at first, but with the help of A.L.A they all found love eventually. Each paired at age 17 had two children, one girl and one boy waiting for them when they get paired. Everyone finally felt loved no matter who you was paired with, or thats what they thought... I was only a little child when the A.L.A starting enforcing the new love laws. I never understood at the time what the new laws meant. The only clear memory I had of my childhood was when my mother telling me , “ true love always win,” before the A.L.A took my parents away and I never saw them again, but that was 25 years ago. I didn 't have a choice to become President, I was chosen. Of course I was paired with a 17 stranger and two children, which I despise. I just do not love my family like the government say I should. It is not true love in my book. Everyday I have to go to these stupid meetings with fake people known as politicians to discuss how we can improve this “glorious world, ” well what the Vice President says. Seeing the same plastic faces over and over again does not make my day. One face in the crowd always sticks out to me, Avant, my best friend. He is the only one that
In “Laws Should Support Loving Households, Straight or Not” (2002), Becky Birtha argues that homosexual couples should have the same right to adopting kids as heterosexual couples.
The best politicians out there, are often not the ones that have the best ideas, but rather the ones that can trick and then steal the hearts of their audiences. The people of the world will often support and vote for the candidate with the story that impacts them the most. The stories the candidates say may often not be true, this is what Hedges’ meant when he said that “the most essential skill…. Is artifice.”
The idea of universal love is one that is prevalent in the media. With the news filled with grim stories and horror many people are calling to the idea of loving everyone. Tensions are high concerning race relations, gender discrimination, and sexual orientation. Many in the general public are calling for humanity to embrace humanity. Many in the general public are asking “why we can’t just love one another”? Stephen T. Asma tackles this idea of love in his article published in the New York Times. Asma discusses two different ideas about universal love before offering his own take on the subject. Just as Asma states, universal love is a myth and closer personal relationships should be favored.
Many eons ago, back in Ancient Greece on Mount Olympus, it was naturally that time of year, in which all the gods and goddesses would find their one true love. Of course, there was a goddess of love and beauty, whose talent was much needed at this time of year. This goddess was named Aphrodite. Aphrodite helped people fall in love all the time, yet she could never find love for herself. One day, Aphrodite saw a happy couple holding hands and laughing. She started to feel bitter. She was upset since she could not seem to find the happiness of love for herself.
bell hooks in “Love as the Practice of Freedom” explains thoroughly as to how love is the form to be liberated. Without any love society is blind and continues to practice systems of domination without being aware. However the community should look out for one another not just when a problem impacts an individual. Everyone must be aware of the systems of domination- imperialism, sexism, racism, and classism to create change. When radical love is comprehended it allows the destruction of oppression, exploitation and there is liberation

The law relating to spousal compellability. In 1940 Wigmore observed spousal compellability has a long history wrapped ‘in tantalizing obscurity’. Whereas Lord Wilberforce also states that to allowed a spouse to give evidence would rise to discord and perjury of the law which would be to ordinary people repugnant . These are two distinct opinions highlighting the fact that spousal compellability is a highly debatable area of law. Under section 80 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 spouses are non-compellable unless the offence is one which is specified. However this spousal compellability has sparked intense criticisms and renders the justification questionable. By utilising relevant source, academic opinions and case authority,
One of the overarching themes that spanned over the many books we read over the semester, was the nature of love and the search for meaning. Love is an inherent aspect of humanity, and while it is an often inexplicable and complex sentiment, it is intrinsically connected with mankind's search for meaning in life. Love often leads a person in directions that they do not expect, and this is obvious in the very different applications of love in different books. However, one common idea about the relationship between love, suffering, and wisdom, can be argued for based off the ancient texts that we read. In The Epic of Gilgamesh, Antigone, and The Tale of Genji, love is used as a vehicle for wisdom through suffering and loss.
When the United States Supreme Court ruled the love law is the law of the land, it set a binding precedent that is to be followed by all public officials, including lawyers. It's illegal for Senator Ted Cruz, and his lawyer friends to encourage others to refuse to perform love marriages. But then again, Senator Ted Cruz is above the law, isn't he? As most of you are informed, not only the Senator have problem with passage of the love law, but pretty much every other law the President of our country has represented. As we have been hearing it form Senator for the past eight years now, including our President's birth place. The Senator may like to eat his bacon off of his machine gun, but that doesn't mean most of us should eat bacon as same
On June 26th, 2015, the United States Supreme Court voted to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide and in doing so, rattled the belief system of many Christians around the country. Many took to social media and with the terror and panic of Chicken Little cried, “The sky is falling”, while others lashed out in hateful speech towards the lawmakers and the homosexual community that celebrated their newly given liberty. As Christians begin to look toward the future with a new definition of marriage put into effect before the country, many begin to question what this will mean for the next generation of believers and for the church moving forward. While the federal government may revise the definition of marriage, as outlined in the constitution, it does not have the ability to change the truth of scripture or the definition of marriage outlines within.
Since the Loving V. Virginia case was settled in favor of Loving, interracial marriage became legal. Today more people are choosing to find their spouse outside of their race.
