This topic is important because it shows how people are able to recognize a certain smell much sooner than other. This experiment will show how one scent might have a higher odor threshold than another scent. The question that is being answered is how does the human nose recognize a specific smell and why people smell so many different scents. From this topic one can learn which scents have a higher or lower odor threshold and knowing which scents of smell the human nose recognizes much easier than others. This paper will include information on how your nose functions and why the nose is able to recognize different smells in the air.

The purpose of this experiment was to discover when people start to smell a certain scent. The question that is being investigated is how does the human nose recognize a specific smell and why people smell so many different scents. This question is important because it is a way to figure out the different odor thresholds. Odor threshold is the minimum amount of the scent needed in order for someone to recognize the smell in the room.
It is important, that this question is answered because it’s a way to find out why it is that people recognize one scent much quicker that another scent. The answer to this question will explain why it is that a little concentration of banana is way easier to smell than a little concentration of cinnamon.
