The E (Extravert) indicates that this type of individuals is focus on the outer world more than their individual world. This type of character expresses opinions without difficulty; however, they are concerned about how those opinions will affect other people. The extraverts center on reading other people 's feelings. They have a strong need to be liked and to be in control this could take them to modify their own manners to please the group (Inc., 2016).
The S (Sensing) index states that this type of personality is more sensing than intuitive. The sensing people have a strong sense of the right and wrong. They set their attention on the information that comes in through the five senses. They are more practical and worry about what they can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell. They live in what is actual, present, or current. They don’t worry about the future or the past and like to see the practical side of the things (Inc., 2016). The F (Feeling) index points to the type of personality that bases the decisions on feelings over the reason. They are contrary to do things that involves subtract or theoretical concepts. They prefer to keep themselves in more structured environments. However, they have a lack of intuition, which can label them as narrow-minded. They are worried about the other people 's opinion and they need a lot of external positive affirmation to feel good (Inc., 2016).
The J (Judging) index specifies to people that seek and create structured and organized
Extraverts are oriented primarily toward the outer world; thus they tend to focus their perception and judgment on people and objects. Introverts are oriented primarily toward the inner world; thus they tend to focus their perception and judgment upon concepts and ideas.
Secondly, I was twenty-two percent sensing. I had a preference of sensing over intuition. I am person to focus on what is currently happening.
I graded higher in my intuitiveness above sensing, I can see this at work in my life because it can be very difficult for me to make decisions on sensing. I like to examine all sides when it comes to a major decision verses everyday minor ones.
The E stands for Extrovert. I am an extrovert because I’m more involved with people rather than being standoff-ish and wanting to be alone. I tend to enjoy sharing thoughts and emotions with others freely instead of solving problems on my
On August 25, 2016, I Darlene Bostick took the Similar Minds Words Choice Test. The test consists of twenty-four pairs of words, use to show the aspect of ones; character. Base on the results from the Similar Minds Inventory, my personality type is "ISFJ (A Conservator)." The Acronym for ISFJ is Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. ISFJs are characterized as the desire to serve others (Retrieved from http://www.similarminds.com). In this section, I will discuss the functional analysis of Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. The First criterion is “Introverted”. We are introverted when we avoid large crowds of individuals, think about our needs and wants, and rather time alone (Retrieved from http://humanmetrics.com/personality/isfj). The “Sensing” preference refers to the attribute that allows us to detect a certain feeling of prediction or behavior based on what triggers the inner mind. We gather data through our five senses (Retrieved from http://www.personalitypage.com/four-prefs.html). Third is “Feeling”. This third preference is the capacity to make decisions based on thinking and feeling (Retrieved from
I found this paper to be very insightful. My personality type showed me to be a person that is an ISFJ, an introverted, sensing, feeling and also judgmental person. I agreed with the findings and research of this personality type except for the judgmental aspect. After learning about my own personality I explored some of the components of personalities.
The Jung Typology Personality Assessment presents a variety of statements to the participants and asks them how much they agree with each statement. The test groups the participant into four dimensions: Extraverted (E) vs. Introverted (I); Sensing (S) vs. Intuitive (N); Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F); and Judging (J) vs.
Extraverted, sensing, thinking, judging: the supervisor within the realm of personalities. As an ESTJ, I “thrive on order and continuity”(Jung). I tend to stick with the idea of tradition and seek the history. As an Extrovert, I receive energy from the people that surround me and promote work ethic. Not someone to show emotion, I gain through logical and practical terms. I find myself in situations that require thought, planning, or organization. In some cases, I do tend to stray away from the results that I was given through the personality test.
Dante breathes life to the cosmos by taking his readers on a journey through the many layers of the heavens in Paradiso. The passage selected introduces Dante’s journey to the Empyrean, which allows readers to analyze their own thoughts concerning outer space. Dante’s heaven is characterized by vitality and harmony, which serves to provide readers with peace upon every glance at the sky. Dante’s heaven reminds people of their small place in a large universe as well as of their free will in order to live a life focused on God.
My four-letter combination from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is ISFJ. Those four letters stand for Introversion, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging. I wasn’t shocked when I found out my results. I find my personality type to be unique because even though I am considered an introvert, I have well-developed people skills and have strong and healthy social relationships. Paying attention to what I see, hear, touch, taste, and smell is a part of my sensing trait. I learn best about things once I do them or see how I am suppose to do them. The trait of feeling is also correct. I believe I can make the best choice by considering what people care most about. I also like to keep the peace and happiness in my life, I try finding the positive out of every situation. My fourth personality trait is judging. I feel like I relate to this trait the most. I like to have everything planned, I like to have things organized, I make lists about anything and everything, I feel more at ease when decisions are made, and I like to have life under control
Based on the test I am an extraverted, sensing, feeler that perceives. From the four outcomes I feel the most strongly for the fact that I am an extroverted person because I love being around and meeting new people. I definitely did not think this was true until I was on Voyageurs this summer and we came across a fishing lodge. Even just a simple hello made me feel great. Out of my four results I feel I am more of an intuition than sensing, just because I tend to think about my future and how I would like for it to turn
The “E” stands for extraversion. People who are extroverted focus their attention outwards and the external world of action appeals to them. They tend to be more talkative, sometimes without thinking, and have a diverse range of interests (www.typefocus.com/self_assessments/personality_your_four_letters). I somewhat agree with this result, I do enjoy socializing, talk without thinking, and I am generally a talkative person, but it all depends on who I am with and the environment I’m in. My extroversion comes out when I’m in a comfortable and familiar environment and with friends I can be very loud, flamboyant and thrive in a fast paced environment. But, I’m also someone who suffers from anxiety and become an introvert at times. Occasionally, I shy away and keep to myself and I tend to think too much without vocalizing what I’m thinking about. An example of my introversion would be while I’m at school, I go straight to class, keep to myself and during lunch I am also often by myself and keep to myself and go straight home afterwards. The school setting triggers my anxiety and I don’t enjoy being around so many people, so I avoid them. I would perceive my personality to be both extroverted and introverted due to the fact that it changes depending on
The extravert is likely to be a person that doesn’t fear to speak up in defense of a good cause whereas someone who is completely introvert would not speak up but would keep their thoughts to themselves. The extravert would be more likely to reach out to people and offer comfort and emotional support. If they were completely extraverted then in some situations where they may find themselves alone in life, such as a divorce or in the case of relocating to a different area where they have no acquaintances, they would be more than likely to suffer from depression and anxiety and would have a difficult time with being alone.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) was originally constructed to serve as a personality type indicator for personnel selection purposes.Today, usage is different from when the test was originally developed. The MBTI is now used for anyone that wants to know what their results would be, whether they need it or not. The test is available for professional administration, likely for a fee, and self administration, at no monetary cost. The test results can yield sixteen different combinations of the four dichotomous categories which include: extroverted (E) or introverted (I), intuitive (N) or sensing (S), thinking (T) or feeling (F),
The next set of traits is sensing and intuitive. These types refer to the way a person interprets information (Basics). A person with a
