System 's organizational environment The organizational environment of Civil Engineering component of the US Air Force (USAF) is very complex and ties into the Air Force environment itself. a high-level overview of organizational environment pertaining to any AF squadron consists of the following: combinations of units/squadrons make up a Group, which are in turn combined into a Wing. Then multiples Wings form a Major Command (MAJCOM) that report directly to the Headquarters Air Force. Heavy repairs sections – engaged in the accomplishment of large in-house work such as facility renovation, demolition projects, pest management, maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and airfield. (AFI 32-1001, 1999) Each section breaks down into elements based on their specific functions, which form and assign work crews (two or more technicians) for the accomplishment of work orders requested by CE customers. Furthermore, each element depending on its size is equipped with computers connected to the Air Force Network (AFNET) for access AF network services, which include ACES. Stakeholders The Squadron Commander (CC), Operations Flight Commander (Ops Commander), Section, and Element Leaders are the stakeholders in the current system. The Section and Element are required to report on the status of work orders and overall accomplished work on a weekly basis. The Squadron Commander is in turn responsible for reporting up-to-date information on the status of CE operations to Group Commander and Higher Headquarters. None of the previously mentioned stakeholder 's input data into the system, however, they all rely on its accuracy and consistency.
