The original myth of Daedalus and Icarus was written by Ovid in his story “The Story of Daedalus and Icarus”. The story is about Daedalus, who was an architect, and Icarus, his son. They were exiled to an island that can only be escaped through the air. Daedalus made wax wings that melt if they get too close to the sun. When Icarus started flying, he flew too high and fell to his death. This story has been interpreted several different ways; these include: Landscape with the Fall of Icarus, a painting by Pieter Bruegel; “Landscape with the Fall of Icarus”, a poem by William Carlos Williams; and “Musee des Beaux Arts”, a poem by W.
