I was standing before the panel of heavenly judges. I perceived them to have human facial features, with human characteristics and mannerisms. I can’t recall their facial details now, and I feel I was meant to not remember the personal identities of the judiciaries. They all sat side by side about six feet apart from each other. I can’t remember how many of them were present, as I my mind was drawn to focus on the central judge. They were all robed in white, alike in fashion. They sat behind an elongated white, curved desk that was elevated and had a solid front, so all that was visible of them was from the chest up. The room was large and had a high ceiling, but I couldn’t see any edges or corners. All I could perceive to be was a …show more content…
Each one of them knew every detail of my life; my thoughts, words, and actions. They treated that information with great respect, and I felt they were humbled and honored to have the role they were entrusted to do. I was in their presence for them to pass judgment on my life as a whole, to judge the manner in which I conducted myself in my human life.
After I was instructed and understood where I was, why I was here, and what was to happen, the viewing of my life’s timeline began. My life’s moments were shared visually, with my thoughts included for all to hear. My human lifetime was projected like watching a three-dimensional movie. Between the white curved desk and me, in the center of the room, there was a massive round pool that glimmered like a midnight blue sapphire. The matter resembled liquid, like a pond of water. The images arose from the liquid-like substance and formed a projection in perfect lifelike detail. The appearance was conveyed so dynamic that it became life in front of me. All of my thoughts and feelings were included as a telepathically projected soundtrack. When a full scene or a still moment emerged, you could see it from all angles, and it rotated for all attending to see in full detail. When a particular scene was done, it quickly dispersed back down into the dark pool, into a glassy stillness. When the judges commanded, the pool created a perfectly elegant change and the next moment in my life flawlessly arose
In 1996, I was born into a chaotic world that my infant self had no indication as to what he was going to experience. As I now look back, it amazes me what has happened in just 19 years and is still hard to believe how I ended up where I am today. This is the crude and bizarre ride through I, Wyatt Bishop’s, 19 years in this extraordinary bubble we call Earth.
The way she uses description in this essay and the flow of events is very similar to the way that memories rush in when one returns to a familiar place from one’s past. To someone that may not of experienced this phenomena the details described may seem to be disconnected and random.
As I entered the court, the trial has already commenced so I did not really know how a real trial started. I sat in the back where the public sits, facing the judge bench. The courtroom was cold and quiet. Especially it was very small, much smaller and less impressive than I expected.. Everyone was in formal dressing code. There were just a few number of spectators and family members in the court room. There was a clerk who was typing everything what was happening during the court time. Judge Krocker appeared to have things under control and had the proceedings moving forward smoothly. She was a very friendly lady with short blonde hair. She was listening attentively. She spoke clearly and distinctly so that everyone in the courtroom could hear. Samuel Gallegos is a white man about 5 '8 tall. He looked quite nervous while some police officers were standing behind him. From what I understood, this case was really happening back in 2014 and the suspect has criminal history relating to assault of child and another related case to this case. On my left hand side were the bailiffs while some others stood observed
“I re-sentence you to walk through the tunnel of understanding.” said the toad judge banging his gable on the rock again.
Processing: The members simply listened to the others when they got up and told their stories. They didn’t make comments or judge they just witnessed it.
They would sit quietly… I imagined that they were my congregation, and me-- I was
As I step into the oversized building, I freeze in my tracks. I start to feel dizzy. I recognize this immediately as the courthouse I was in this summer, in Oconto County. This was the same lobby, I remember passing through it. I suddenly realize how long I’ve been standing there, and almost have to run to catch up with my class. When I catch up, my class is beginning to enter a courtroom, the same courtroom. I continue into the room with the class, and see the judge that I saw this summer. I already know, of course, that his name is Michael Judge, the main judge of this courthouse. He looks me straight in the eye, before turning back to the class. Indeed, he must remember what I said, before I had left this courtroom that day.
On observing the District Court a number of distinctions from the Local Courts were immediately made apparent. Without going in to detail about the actual structure of the courts, they seemed to fit more closely with the traditional schema of a typical courtroom. In particular the larger courtrooms with more facilities combined with the barristers and magistrates wearing their wig and robes seemed to instantly uphold the ideology of justice. It is interesting to note how appearances can automatically provide an impression that justice will be upheld. The
A Court of Mist and Fury is set in a fictional world. Most of the story is based in Prythian. The land is separated into different court and each court has a domain. For example, there is the Night Court and the Summer Court. This world has many similarities to ours, such as horses, and a mortal realm. The mortal lands are exactly like our world was years ago. There are also many differences. For example,
“These people were staring hard at me, and I guessed they were the jury. But somehow I didn’t see them as individuals.” Part 2, chapter 3, pg. 83
Judges, people who have lots of sympathy, but also can be so mean a charging bull looks tame, are to be chosen for this occupation. At Escape Oasis, a judge will be taught the basic training to be become the next premier justice official. Judges will be chosen by a very strict schedules, and guidance, of hard training and mind complexion. To be chosen, you not only have to be mentally tough, but you need to be able to bear the sorrows, and pain of each crime coming into the courthouse. People are trained in a series of schools for a period of 6 weeks. The first week will be so tough, Popeye looks weak. It will include various tests, on paper, and tests for the mind. Sleep is required, so trainees will be given a 2 hour nap each day, to rest
As long as I was friends with them, I felt secure and sure that their guidance would lead me through my journey on the road to success.
They handled issues appropriately without over reacting or demeaning me. They provided opportunities to gain training and experience in areas that interested me, thus encouraging career growth. They checked up on me after critical incidents and gave advice on stress management, thus allowing me to feel that they cared about my personal well-being. They did not demand that that I do things the same way that they did, but instead encouraged me to find my own style in handling things when appropriate. Additionally, they were available when needed to answer questions and gave advice on how to handle situations.
When you walk into the room, you are immediately surrounded by mirrors 360 degree. Endless LED light is hanging and blinking in the room. The dazzling light and the reflection makes you feel like you are floating in an infinity galaxy. You will see unlimited reflections of yourself, some are floating, some are parallel, some are upside down etc. It is such a breathtaking experience that is purely beyond words.
