This particular case presents the notion of anxiety disorders which can have several trigger factors that will distress the subject normal day life, this disorders “include specific phobia, social anxiety disorder (…) panic disorder, agoraphobia, and generalized anxiety disorder.” (Oltmanns & Emery, 2015, p. 84).
Background Information
Jasmine was born in the time frame of her father return from military service with injuries but still functional as a parent.
Jasmine mother was a full time worker and a care giver for jasmine uncle, which suffer from a debilitating mental disease. This is a typical nuclear family, with no major signs of distress except from the possible PTSD from her father and debilitating condition of her uncle that might cause on a long term a predisposition to anxiety.
Presently Jasmine is 38 years old, married with 2 children one is 14 years old boy and the other is an 8 years old daughter. She is currently employed, and Jasmine husband does some travel on is work, making Jasmine the primary care giver.
Risk factors
On Jasmine early stage of life her care was provided by a father with possible Post traumatic Stress Disorder, although there is no real connection with her current stage this might be a factor to consider, also since Jasmine mother was mainly absent due to her work and care of Jasmine uncle, might condition her stability in her long term.
This detachment from her mother by be the cause of why Jasmine is so concerned to be a good parent
