3) When a person tells you to be more responsible, what does that mean? What does the choice of the wife as the most responsible person for her own death by 90 percent of my classes tell you about seventh graders’ attitudes towards responsibility? This means that you do the right thing, even when nobody's watching. The choice of the wife that 90% of 7th grade students picked shows me that students are very responsible, because they will own up and confess to their wrongdoings and mistakes. The wife was blamed because students are pointed in the direction that they are responsible for their own mistakes. The wife in the story was not, however, responsible because if you took the assassin out of the equation, there would be no killing or murder and the wife would not be dead. Are students in this school asked to handle too many responsibilities? No, students in this school are not asked to handle that many responsibilities. They are asked to do their homework, go to class, and do what their told. They are not responsible for that much, and even though, they (John and Lorraine) skip school and make up excuses to not do their homework. 4.) What did you think of the characters in this book? Talk about John, Lorraine and Pignati in the context of the whole …show more content…
He always had that fake, happy smile and big laugh. He never changed. Lorraine changed, though. When she first met the Pigman she was cautious and reserved. Now, she has learned to have fun and live on the edge. She roller skates in houses, has parties, and much, much, more. John has definitely evolved the most, though. In the beginning, he was obnoxious and didn’t know when enough was enough. He always crossed the line. Now, after his adventures with Mr. Pignati, he is a little bit more careful and has learned not to be a troublemaker. I think Lorraine and John learned not to meddle with other people’s lives and prank call to bother
After everything that happened to both of these characters they ended up changing who they were as a person. They both handle changing in different
All kinds of people change in many different ways. Take the two main characters from the novel “The Watsons go to Birmingham” for example. Byron and kenny Watson both go through a lot of changes on the inside and out, but Byron has changed the most. In my opinion Byron changed the most because he cares about his family even more, he acts more responsible and, is a lot more understanding One of the ways Byron changes is that he cares more about his family. An example of this is when Byron saved Kenny from drowning at the swimming hole in Alabama.
Provide a brief intro in which you identify the character whose life became brighter once the Pigman entered it:
Among the others, the most prominent example of change is with Lou Ann. In the beginning of the book, when surrounded with a controlling and
While Pignati was in the hospital John threw a gigantic party without Lorraine’s
Nick, the narrator throughout the book, experiences changes but not as many as other characters. Nick was a shy
Pignati is that his wife Concetta and best friend Bobo . Mr. Pignati told John and Lorraine that his wife, Conchetta went to California , but later in the book John found a receipt of the funereal and shared it with Loraine . They never told Mr. Pignati but Mr. Pignati ends up telling them anyway. Also after the party John and Lorraine begged Mr. Pignati to come to the zoo and see his best friend Bobo, a monkey. when they got to the place where Bobo’s cage is and he’s not there and a staff member tells them Bobo is dead.
One thing I didn't like about the book is how it ended. They leave you with a multitude of unanswered questions. While reading this book, I found myself comparing my life to the life of the main characters Nick Abbott. For example, Nick would go out at night and shoot hoops instead of doing homework.
Change is shown significantly throughout the film as towards the end of the film Kat has transformed in to a completely different person. Kat doesn’t have anymore outbursts in class; she isn’t sent to the guidance office, has less run In’s with her sister Bianca and she becomes accepted by her peers. Her transformation is the result of affection as Kat is tamed by love.
In the memorial epic, The Pigman, John and Lorraine’s words really show their personality type. In the beginning of the story, when describing John, Lorraine say’s “John has made and art out of it. He prevaricates just for prevaricating’s sake.” What Lorraine is referring to is John’s tendency to make up stories in an attempt to make his life sound more interesting. The reason he does this is to make his life sound more
3 Mess Ups That Lorraine Could Fix 1968, Paul Zindel’s book The Pigman was published. It’s the tale of two high school sophomores Lorraine Jensen And John Conlan. Both kids have homelife issues and this is their story of how they changed an old man's life and theirs. The 40 developmental Assets are 40 things, developed from the search institute. That has been decided that they are needed in children's lives for them to be successful in life when they are older.
In college, every student is responsible for their own actions, regardless of the consequences that follow them. While reading “The Late Paper”, I noticed how the people in Kim’s life played a part in her failing the class, which I ranked from one being the most responsible to six being the least responsible. Six is Professor Freud, the teacher; Five is Philip, Arnold’s co-worker; Four is Mary, Prof. Freud’s Secretary; Three is Arnold, Kim’s husband; Two is Cindy, Kim’s classmate; and One is Kim, the psychology student.
The pigman is a story about two teens and an old man who all end up with each other at some point. The story starts up with an oath that two characters make named John Conlan and Lorraine Jensen sign that they will right the facts about their experience with someone called Mr. Angelo Pignati. Then that leads into a introduction where John tells us some backstory and how he had an avocation for pranking in his younger years. After that it tells us how Lorraine feels bad for some people and how her mother was antagonistic and always bullied her on every little thing possible. The background continues by Lorraine telling us how she met John and how she had anxiety about moving and making friends.
Characters: Although there were a reasonable amount of characters in the story, there were only two that were important and consistent throughout the book. The others didn’t have much of an impact into the story.
There are so many ways and reasons that people can change. You can change for love, passion, or to fit in. There are many more things that can change a person. I’m taking two stories and looking if the characters changed or stayed the same.
