Mexico is a big country, but much of it is dry. The problem/challenge is according to the World Bank, 53% of Mexico’s population is poor (living on less than $2 per day), while 24% percent is extremely poor (living on less than $1 per day), only 14% of the nation's land is refined and well educated or used for plantations and orchards and this is a problem because most of the Mexican people live in poverty. Mexico have tried to solve this problem by fighting poverty and hunger and opening a Freedom from Hunger office in Mexico city that will serve very poor, rural people. Also, Mexican farmers are trying to grow enough to meet the needs of the people in Mexico. Most of the food that is consumed by Mexicans is raised on Mexican farms and Mexico
