There are many components involved in the writing process that are important to incorporate in your essay to make it a strong well constructed piece. Knowledge about the writing process is needed in order to succeed. Without the proper the knowledge there will be no direction throughout the paper. There are many different ways to write, but it is necessary to include in depth research, a strong thesis that pulls your audience into the paper, and organizational skills to create a backbone for a strong complete essay.

Writing an essay is incredibly simple, but somehow people still struggle, so I will try my best to explain and point you in the right direction. With every essay there is a topic, thesis and then the actual essay with a few steps in-between.

Writing essays have never been easy for me. Describing my thoughts and feelings just don't seem to turn into the right words I want to say. Coming up with a theme and an argument is hard to convey, making the reader see what I'm truly trying to say. The hardest parts of writing essays for me is coming up with the right things to say that correlate to my argument and doing so under a short period of time.

Mostly I will talk about my own experiences with writing, I probably won't use any source because I don't you need to. I first to start things off with defining key terms like audience, genre , purpose and context . I will tell why each one of them is important to writing. Then I give detailed reasons why you, should you use them and what will happen if you don’t. I want to make a sure appeal to everyone with this essay . I will give you my thoughts on what makes a good writing piece and give detailed steps that each writer should take when they write. I want to make it clear that everyone mistakes that there no such thing as a perfect writer. In this essay I will explore this idea I feel this very true because it like you said we can always improve our writing. Then I will write what has influenced my writing and how it change my writing style in general. I read a lot of books during my free time, which really help me grow as a writer, which I will take about in the essay. As a writer, especially as an international student, I should make extra efforts to write a good essay. In the class ESL273, I have learned how to write analytical essays with critical thinking, how to create an effective introduction with background information and a clear thesis statement, and how to organize an essay with the writing process skills, such as outlining and brainstorming. In addition, we have peer review activities in the class, which is a good opportunity for me to learn from my classmates and I can identify my writing weaknesses from the feedback. With all these writing skills that I learned from the ESL273 class, I think I have some strength in writing an essay because I am not a beginner anymore.

I use to think essays were just stupid, and that educators made students write them, because they were closeted sadists. But I wanted to continue my education, and in order to do that, I would have to write essays. So I decided to take an online course in essay writing. That was when essays were finally explained to me. You are, as the writer, suppose to be part of an academic conversation, adding on to the subject what you learned and believe. Sure it's not the same as story telling, you can't just make up stuff, you definitely have to know your stuff. You aren't there to amuse the reader, you first job is to inform, but that doesn't mean you have to bore them with blunt fact after blunt fact.

As a writer my essays have varied in many different ways. My stronger essays, in my opinion, were the ones that had topics I could connect with. While writing about a topic I am passionate about or familiar with, writing comes easy to me. Writing seems natural when I can connect with the topic that it just flows right out of me, like I am telling a story. I love to write and I love to learn new things on how to improve my writing. Throughout my entire life I will need the skills to write correctly and I have learned many this year.

I pride myself on being a curious person who always wanted to discover what was happening in the world around me, I would always ask myself why did this happen? How? Which lead me in becoming a creative writer. I enjoy the challenge of making people want to read what I write. I choose the right words to intrigue my readers; it is a pleasure to take them on an adventure, as I can use my pen to sway their emotions with every line I form which lead me in creating my own journal. I am also determined person once I have a goal, I will pursue it until I achieve it. When I was in sixth grade, I thought I was destined to become a journalist, or sports reporter. I was passionate about it, I loved doing it, and I loved having a teacher and parents that encouraged me to keep doing more of it. This is stupid! Why do we even have to write essays, what’s the point? How do I even start this? That is what my writing and thought process consist of. I complain and procrastinate until the last minute, that’s why this is being done the night before the due date.
