Introduction Unilever is a multinational company which has a straightforward purpose ‘to make sustainable living commonplace’ (UNILEVER 'S GLOBAL COMPANY, 2015). In this essay, will be present the organisation’s missions, objectives. In the meantime, this essay will also discuss three initiatives that material to core business: the product quality; supply chain and external environment. And this essay will provide some recommendations for the three initiatives. Mission & Objectives Their mission is ‘to meet everyone needs for nutrition, hygiene and personal care with brands that help people look good, feel good and get more out of life’ (UNILEVEL 'S GLOBAL COMPANY, 2010). They keep this mission as a benchmark and keep add in new elements, they add in the ‘build an interdependent safety culture that protects the well-being of our employees, visitors, contractors and assets to help deliver responsible growth’ (UNILEVER 'S GLOBAL COMPANY, 2015)as a new element for 2015. In the general mission, Unilever simply draws a macro picture as for the whole organisation that can aim to achieve. Further, the new add-in is based on the ‘vision zero’ (UNILEVER 'S GLOBAL COMPANY, 2015), which means it has a specific benchmark, such as, zero fatalities, zero injuries, zero motor vehicle accidents, zero process incidents, and tolerance of unsafe behaviour (UNILEVER 'S GLOBAL COMPANY, 2015).
