Things have been going well at Baker McKenzie since my last post. I guess the biggest piece of news I have to share is that my co-op term has been extended to eight months with Baker McKenzie, so I will be staying on with them straight through to December. These last few weeks I was debating with myself about whether or not I should accept the offer of extension or look for a new position, since a lot of the job postings on Blackboard look really interesting. I did go on an interview for another position, it went well and I'm glad I got the opportunity to practice my interviewing skills, but in the end I decided to accept the extension with Baker McKenzie. I decided to stay for a few reasons, namely: the client projects I am involved in have
Sometime in June of 2016, the FFRF (Freedom from Religion Foundation) wrote a two page letter to the Dunmore School District about Coach Jack Henzes leading the football team in prayer before all of their games. On November 02, 2016, the superintendent, John Marichak, told Eyewitness News that, “The law is cut and dry. We talked to all our coaches. We wanted them to understand what types of behaviors are acceptable and which ones are infringing on the law." Former dunmore football player, Sam Malia stated, “We've been doing this for 30-40 years and all of a sudden it's an issue?" In the end, Henzes was not able to pray on the field with his team, because it violated the first amendment, according to the FFRF, but is that really the true, does
Eugene Debs should be elected for many reasons such as the following child labor laws, women's right to vote and the labor unions.
Learning about the world is challenging enough, but to unlearn it knowing what is being lost is even more burdensome. Charlie Gordon is a man that learned the world and lost it all. Is knowledge admirable while it can be retained or is ignorance bliss when it can’t? Knowledge is excellent, even if it is only for a little while, even if it is retained for a short period because people know what the world is, even when that knowledge is lost, people will retain a certain understanding of the world before they “unlearned” it. Some say “ Knowledge is a wonderful tool in life, but if a man acquires knowledge, but soon “unlearns” the knowledge yet understands how the world should be, and then loses it, ignorance is bliss so the man does not know how people treat them in atrocious ways, and it shall stay that way for his/her benefit.”. All people deserve to acquire Knowledge, so they have the experience of how life should be. Charlie Gordon acquires knowledge of how the world is and how people treat people who have mental setbacks. To come from a position where he is made fun of, to know this, and then back to being treated as a person that has a mental disability, knowing how he is treated has multiple pros including some cons.
Since the start of May I have began working full time as an Account Representative for UberEATS in Toronto. At Uber I manage contract negotiations aimed at establishing the foundation of a strong working relationship with our restaurant partners, including sustainable economics for both parties. Currently I am working on expansion markets within Canada including London and Calgary and have been able to consistently exceed monthly sales goals. An exciting new opportunity has come up enabling me to transition into a new role as a product developer and expansion specialist for UberHealth, a business subsidiary under the Uber Technologies umbrella that focuses on, on-demand vaccine delivery and patient transport. Concurrently, I am wrapping up
Cedric Richmond represents Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives and currently serves on the House Committee on Homeland Security and the House Committee on the Judiciary. Russell Williams was arrested on February 7, 2010 in Belleville, Ontario. Nine months later, October 21, 2010, he pleaded guilty of 86 charges. (Cobb, C.) He was sentenced to 2 life-sentences for first-degree murder; 2 ten-year sentences for other sexual assaults; 2 ten-year sentences for forcible confinement; and 82 one-year sentences for breaking and entering. (Hildebrandt, A., & Seglins, D) They will be served all together in Kingston. He will be spending his time at the penitentiary. The life sentences meant that Williams was serving at least 25 years before he is even considered to be able to get any sort of parole. Because he was charged, convicted, and found guilty of multiple murders, he won’t be able to apply for premature release beneath the “faint hope clause” of the CCC (Canadian Criminal Code). (Cobb, C.)
The argument that I found to be most convincing was Fredrickson’s. The argument he presents to be the best is that the South ultimately lost due to their most glaring failure being in the area of coordination, collective adaptation to new conditions, and lack modernization. He talks about how the southern commanders during the war lacked leadership. Their army’s were undisciplined and insubordinate, many men abandoned their cause. The southern government couldn’t even get their states to give up control over a large quantity of arms to give those weapons to the fighting soldiers. Instead, they had to turn away over 200,000 volunteers in the first year. The north successfully modernized in various societies, when the south did now. This supports
In 1984, in front of the Dallas City Hall, the defendant Gregory Johnson and the Revolutionary Communist Youth Brigade protested the Reagan administration policies. During this protest, Johnson burned an American flag on the steps of city hall. Johnson was arrested, tried, and convicted of violating a Texas law that outlawed the desecration or destruction of the United States flag. Johnson was sentenced to one year in jail and had to pay a $2,000 fine. Johnson appealed the conviction stating that the Texas law was a violation of his first amendment right to freedom of speech. He lost his first appeal in the Fifth Court of Appeals of Texas. However, his second appeal to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals reversed the conviction. Texas then

Willie Collins, a gentleman who is my personal barber gives more antidotes about the rebellion, who was in his early twenties during the time of July 1967. Engaging in the occupation of being a barber, another important element within the black community, Willie started in 1964, while also employee working for General Motors, and working as a barber to supplement his income, before transitioning into full-time ownership in the world of barbering. Willie looks back to July 1967, by giving some background of Detroit from his personal experiences. Living on the west side of Detroit in the Six Mile - Wyoming area in the early 1960’s, the make-up of the area residents was still predominately white, as Willie and his wife were the second blacks to
Should 12 year old Nathaniel Brazill, who commit first or second degree murder receive a Mandatory sentence of life without parole? No, I do not agree that Nathaniel Brazil should receive a mandatory life sentence, because he is still just a young Teenager learning from what's right or wrong in life. Teenagers like Nathaniel Brazill, are still developing their brains, so they don't think Before they do something and can't control themselves and stop themselves at the moment they're doing something they know is wrong, because they let their anger get the best of them.
Chapman should speak the truth, and say how she would really want about the " new taxes" she shouldnt copy her opponent because they are wanting raise taxes if elected. What she should do is believing her self, and to make sure that she can talk about why she will be a good state representative, and not raise new taxes, because then we will be going to another topic, talking about the economy people will be even more broke.
Transition: Now that you know a few of the options. You may want to know what the benefits are.
I see myself progressing in my field as well as in my education. I find my education challenging and motivating. I can see many challenges ahead and therefore I am willing to invest my time learning all the skills and knowledge of my field towards professional advancement. I hoped to be offered in a management role in 5 years, looking to move on to greater things. I'm prepared to learned new things and contribute to the overall success of the organization in a number of ways. The only specific ''plan of willingness'' is that the opportunity be within my ability to learn, interesting enough for me to dig and do a good job, and the compensation increase a reasonable amount in relation to the demands of the
