“Mitchell Johnson, Andrew Golden, and Michael Carneal call complained after the shooting that they were teased, bullied, or ‘put upon,’ but the teachers were either unaware of or downplayed the significance of their torment.” (Newman, 2004, p 96). Prior to social media, bullying has invoked children and teens to commit school shootings or suicide (also could be known as “bullycide”). With the uprising of more social media, bullying will get worse. Bullying has been a complicated issue to deal with, such as, we have not been able to abolish bullying because it is difficult to identify and stop. “Bullying is unwanted aggressive behavior; observed or perceived power imbalance; and repetition of behaviors or high likelihood of repetition. There are many different modes and types of bullying.” (Facts About Bullying, 2016). Bullying can be categorized as many different activities such as: tormenting, physical abuse, mental abuse, verbal abuse, cyberbullying (being bullied via internet), teasing, or harassment. A frequent problem that has been faced is that when children are caught bullying others but they say they’re “just messing around” with the victim. “The CDC reported that students that experience bullying are twice as likely to suffer from various problems, such as: depression, sleep difficulties, anxiety, and trouble adjusting to school. They are also twice as likely to get stomach-aches and headaches” (Bullying Suicide Statistics, 2016). Although most people think that
