The greatest common concern on the subject today is water contamination. Individuals grew worried that the chemicals used to gather these natural resources will seep into the water and contaminate the United States. The water necessary to frack is gathered from rivers, lakes, ponds, and even aquifers. This is then combined with chemicals and pumped into the ground. Fracking was exempted from the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act and the chemicals used to frack are not tested frequently in our water (Lampe 34). Bordering on 20 to 40 percent of the water used to frack rises back up to the surface and is stored on site (Lampe 34). An

However, living near a fracking well can cause a hard life in the household, that is near a site. Once again, problems arise as fracking becomes a common practice. Even though, there are advantages they are not reasonable. All in all, there are multiple reasons why fracking is not safe.

One major issue with fracking is the lack of transparency of chemicals used. There has been some movement toward public awareness of the specific chemical which are pumped into the ground. Although Fracking gives us energy it is drilled from underneath the ground which can cause earthquakes. Natural gas is a gas that occurs beneath the earth’s surface. If a site seems promising an exploratory well may be drilled to collect data.In the united states and some other countries oil is drilled right from shales. So in conclusion Fracking is a good and bad thing for the world because it gives humans the energy they need but Fracking also causes a lot of problems.

Fracking is not safe because in the areas where Fracking is taking place, it is causing crimes which isn’t beneficial to the economy, it causes methane to get into peoples water also it is effecting

Another reason why fracking is not a good idea is because people that live nearby the drilling site are badly affected, an example of this was made apparent when a family turned a tap on and methane was emitted. The family could light a match under their tap. There was a fracking site just over 100 metres

With the new scientific technological advancements of fracking we can obtain natural gasses in ways that were once un-thought of before. In many ways fracking is beneficial, fracking can provide vast amounts of natural gasses which can be used not only in our everyday lives, but can also be beneficial from an economic stand point as well. However, along with the benefits of fracking there also comes some drawbacks. The use of fracking can contaminate our water sources, and can also cause very large amounts of pollution, causing diseases and death. To get a clearer understanding of what fracking can do we must first learn how fracking works, its benefits for our economy, but also its drawbacks on the environment, and draw a conclusion on whether or not fracking is overall more beneficial or harmful.

Fracking is the leading case in people getting sick or maybe worse. I think that fracking is good for lighting and heating are home but can really hurt the economy. Fracking can lead to earthquakes and it my let you light your tap water on fire and may cause death.

Although fracking increases the states natural gas production, it also carries some negative side effects that are affecting the state and its people.

Fracking has always been a problem, but seems to become more of a problem as time goes on. Although gas, oil, and coal are necessities for living, there is a better way to obtain these substances instead of fracking.
