This right lets us own our own weapons, and it should not be controlled by the government how many and what guns we can own. The right to bear arms is a right given to all Americans. We as the American people and the American government cannot infringe that right. However we can make the process of owning a weapon a much more difficult and time consuming process. We as a country should also instate a mental altitude test before the purchase of a firearm. The Government should also instate a surprise mental exam for all firearm owners at least four times per year maybe even more to ensure safety to people surrounding those owners. Americans are a country full of people with free speech and they are not afraid to use it. American people will not let you take away their firearms but if we make it harder to obtain one maybe we cut down on gun violence. We must enforce the process of background checks. The nation should also consider banning the access to own an assault rifle to everyone except for the use of government military only. Assault rifles are not necessary for self- protection and should not be legal under the concealed weapons permit.

I do not believe that immigrants should be able to come to America. When more people come to the America we have to provide more things to make life sustainable for them. Money is being spent, and more problems can be caused. We need to make sure the people wanting to come over know the rules of America, and that they can follow the rules. They should be required to speak english and can have their own language on the side. Not only taking an updated test of the U.S, but given a week on their own here to see if they can handle it and if it is a suitable living style for them. If you had the chance to move to somewhere new where you could escape the previous troubles and horrors you had just experienced, would you? Many immigrants came to the United States because there were many political problems in their homeland that they wanted to get away from and wanted to start over again with a clean slate. They figured that since the U.S. was accepting new people into our country, more and more could come, but that didn't end very well for most immigrants.

President Obama made a lot of promises in his 2008 presidential campaign that he has fulfilled, broken, or compromised. The fact that 1.25 million immigrants enter the United State per year may frighten many Americans (Card). The fact that that number has risen 8% in the last 43 years may frighten them even more (Penn Wharton). The idea of immigrants in such large amounts may bring to mid people stealing over the border or arriving on boats and planes en mass. They may think about people stealing their jobs, homes, resources, and even their children's’ education. However, as this paper aims to show, immigrants are not a threat to Americans or their society at all.
