Since President Obama has been elected he has done his duty as President, now I am not saying he has done an extraordinary or dissatisfactory job in his position. What I am saying is that Obama is doing what he was assigned to do to try and better this country. Now, maybe he is not always successful in his attempts or makes the best decision, but he is human. He has been an office for nearly eight year, and has managed this country in a multitude of ways. Dowd only focuses on the negatives it seems of Obamas time in office by stating that his greatness is flickering, and maybe she is right. Her thesis statement is “At this pivotal moment for his legacy at home and abroad, his future reputation is mortgaged to past neglect” (Dowd 1) Dowd throughout
Donald Trump is not doing good as president. Some may still believe he is doing good for our country, but the facts will change their opinion. This argument can be proved based on the facts that are in the news everyday. The news shows articles about him firing multiple people in the white house, his insensitive attitude to important things happening in our country, and him degrading women. People are not happy with Donald Trump’s presidency, and the hatred for Trump continues to grow by his actions.
The 2016 Presidential election has got to be the most aggressive yet entertaining election of all time. Who would have ever thought that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton would be the two candidates running for President? This election has got everyone, everywhere riled up over who will win the campaign. Citizens of the United States could argue that neither one of the candidates running, is fit to be Commander and Chief. It has come to the point in this election where citizens are not engaging in voting for President, because of the candidates running. Due to the lack of participates voting, I believe that Senator John McCain would better qualify as President because he is a diplomat, he has a strong military background, he’s had years of experience and is a
Despite his scandals of an affair with an intern working in the White House, he not only significantly advanced the States economically but also provides health coverage for millions of children throughout the country by enacting a serial of bills. Eventually, he is admitted by American public.
The word on the hill is that if Republicans don’t cave and fund Obama’s DHS amnesty scheme that they will be blamed by the people and pay for it at the polls. Where have we heard that before?
President Obama came into office in the aftermath of the disastrous foreign policy record of the Bush administration. The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 had served as a “switchman,” leading to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Bush administration exercised unilateral use of force and reluctance to engage the international community. As a result global elites and publics viewed the US unfavorably. The US economy was negatively affected by the costs of the wars coupled with the financial crisis of 2007. It was this environment that defined the contours of the election campaign of 2008. Obama campaigned on the idea of change, which represented a regeneration of America through domestic public policy reform and a return to multilateralism in foreign policy. Both domestic and international publics and elites were galvanized by Obama’s message.
Should the President of the United States have to be born on United States soil?
Even though according to public opinion, historic record and performance, Obama is the 4th worst President of all time. The insulting part of his train-wreck Presidency is that the left will distort history, destroy or misplace damaging documents like the Clintons do to make look good. Then they will publish books and create documentaries trying to change history and convince everyone that he was the greatest American president of all time.
In 2016 Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in the presidential race to become the president of the united states. Including the likes of Zachary Taylor, Ulysses S. Grant, Herbert Hoover, and Dwight D. Eisenhower, Donald Trump is one of five presidents that has never been elected to public office before becoming President. Instead, Donald Trump gained majority of his notoriety for being a businessman, real estate developer, and former reality tv star. During his presidential race, it was clear the Donald Trump would be like no other president. During the elections
On the other hand, however, others argue that obama wasn't a great president because he failed to keep many promises that he said during his election and he did not improve race relations in america.Clearly there are many views and opinions on Obama and whether he has been a good president to serve america for all these years. I believe he was a good president _because he did so much for america and accomplished so much but he doesn't get the credit he deserves. This issue is important because not many people realize all of the stuff obama has done during his presidency to benefit america despite congress denying every one of his decisions.Look at the various achievements obama has made over the course of his presidency. Does that warrant him as a great president? For the future, people should educated themselves on Obama's legacy and acknowledge how much he accomplished during his presidency. By doing research instead of going based off of your own knowledge, more people would realize just how great of a president Obama really
Our country has had quite a few Presidents in its day and with that come the good and the bad. Now, not all Presidents are either purely good or bad. There are some that mostly bad with a bit of good while others can be mostly good with a hint of bad. Now, no man is perfect by any means but there are a few Presidents that have done fantastic while in office and that have been a purely beneficial factor for our country.
In an analysis/opinion piece for The Washington Times, titled “Civic Illiteracy Won the White House for Obama” the writer Marybeth Hicks impresses upon readers that anyone who voted for President Obama in 2012 knows nothing of the constitution. Flash forward four years, Garrison Keillor, in a special column for the Washington Post, titled “Donald Trump Won. Let the Uneducated Have Their Day” implies that anyone who voted for President Trump in 2016 is a bully with no education. Hicks creates a hopeless tone while drowning her sorrows in a bucket of paint, whereas Keillor creates an ominous tone, after all he is a wreck. Hicks, in her analysis/opinion piece implies that anyone who voted for President Obama in 2012 especially young voters are
Donald Trump was elected president of the United States of America on November 8th, 2016, and now has been running our country for over a year. As Trump’s first year in office slowly began, his reputation seems to be creating different outside views of our nation and arguments started producing everywhere. After competing with Hillary Clinton for the presidential term in office, Trump defeated her along with her democratic supporters causing one of the most shocking elections in U.S. history. Using public media web pages, we are reviewing both sides of the argument regarding Trump’s election and we are going to decipher why each arguer supports their side, and why each side is reasonable for the benefit of our country.
Just a few days ago, Meryl Streep gave an acceptance speech at the Golden Globes. During this speech, she was ranting on about how Donald Trump should not have won the 2016 presidential election, and how she felt that he was somewhat responsible for all of the hate and disrespect that our country currently has. Streep was instantaneously accused by Trump’s supporters of being wrong, of cluelessness, and of bad timing. She was simply speaking her mind to us. So does that mean that only politicians can say that they hate Donald Trump? Celebrities are allowed to talk about politics just as much as anyone else.
As I've slowly acclimatize to Trump's America the panic and fear I first felt as Donald was announced president has finally returned to me in full force. Through his usually bragging meeting or "press conferences" would fall onto deaf ears and only being taken as material to laugh about over dinner at the end of the day. But, when the threat to DACA arrived I couldn't help but remember the previous Travel ban that was developed and how it created mass confusion and frustration through out our country.
