What does the message send to Americans and illegals by building a wall between the U.S.- Mexico border? This border wall would not be the first or last in this world there is actually a few walls still up to this day or broken down. Immigrants and their families come to the United States for a better life. Now are afraid to get caught by ICE agents and get deported back to their former country. While the president wants to build this wall, and keep U.S. citizens in and undocumented immigrants out. The idea of this wall shows how a nation would be divided by who wants to build the wall and why, the advantages and disadvantages. As of matter of fact the person who wants to build this border wall is Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States. Since winning the election against Hilary Clinton in 2016, Trump has claimed to deport two million of undocumented foreigners who are found guilty of a criminal offense in the United States and is strong-minded to do so (Martin). Trump wants to get rid of all the illegal aliens and has said to “Make America Great Again” by building a wall and to deport 11 million of undocumented citizens (Martin). Why you may ask? To reduce illegals coming in to the country with the use of controlled border patrol units and to keep US citizens safe. Trump also implied to overturn Barack Obama’s executive order, which ruled a temporary legal status for some undocumented immigrants and has said to “Put American workers first in the migration
For me personally I don’t think the wall should be build. The wall is a waste of money, and time the solution of building a wall across the border is not very smart. The wall will cost millions of dollars to build, and on top of that it would take a couple of years to finish it. Instead of wasting money trying to build a wall that would take a long time to show effectiveness, we could use less money to try a different method it’s that would take less time. The purpose of this article is to inform us, about the wall and how going to help stop immigrants from crossing the border, the way I see it is that building the wall is just something trump is trying to do make it seem like he is finding solutions to the problem we face today.
Last year when Donald Trump became President of the United States he wanted to build a wall that would seperate the U.S. from Mexico. He wanted to do this to stop any illegal drugs, terrorists, or weapons from crossing the border. Athough it was a good idea, many people were
The 45th president of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, is a political man who has many ideas to improve the U.S. One of the many idea he had included building a wall between the borders of the United States and Mexico for the “purpose of controlling immigration into America”. According to Trump this wall is supposed to help our country with its national security. In reality though, many people believe that the wall is showing Trumps true colors. Many people are contemplating on the fact if Trump is a racist person who is building the wall because it provides a method of targeting and preventing those who are trying to cross the Mexican-American Border. In reality, Trump only cares about trying to make “America Great Again”, and
Jeff Corwin stated that “If this border wall actually happens, it will be an environmental catastrophe. Essentially, what it’s doing is cutting through nature’s bridge, which connects Central America to North America and South America.” Which in many cases this can be supported but then again many people work very hard to become a citizen in the United States for many to come across the border to get here illegally and to most this is unfair. To make another main statement given the rising global instability in North Korea and the Middle East with a strong and supportive border it would be harder for terrorist to get their hands on biological, chemical or radiological weapons. With an insecure border it makes it easier for them to bring them into the United States and launch a devastating attack on the United States.
Now in days there is a lot of terrifying stuff seen every day. Starting from accidents, tourism attacks, and shootings. My focus is Hispanic immigration and borders. There's probably not one day that there's not something being said about immigration. It is a topic that is very controversial and many people disagree or agree on it. Immigration is when people go to live permanently in a foreign country. Lots of people don't really realize the reasons in which hispanics move to a foreign country. Hispanics leave to accomplish their American dream for themselves and their family.
Many say that the border wall is a bad idea, but others say it has some benefits. President Trump said in his campaign that he wanted “a great, great wall.” This was to ensure that anyone with no papers doesn’t take the jobs that “Americans” need. Since there are 2 sides of this problem they should both be addressed.
The U.S-Mexico Border stands as divider between two nations that have different styles of govern. America has for the most part advertised that it is great to live in America and to be American. So there is no question why masses of Mexican migrants would want to build a better life in the U.S. There was a border put in place to divide two nations that are so close, yet so far. As conditions worsened in one country people were left with the only choice to migrate to the U.S. The economic opportunity that thrives in America should be present in Mexico in order to keep jobs and families at home. The people of Mexico cross over to the U.S because of the needs in improvements in Mexico’s economy, security, and poverty.
Mexican citizens won't be able to cross the border with the wall up, right? Sure, it is true that people won't be able to run across the border, but not even half of the illegal immigrants in the US get in that way. Most illegal Mexican immigrants get into the US legally, and overstay their VISAs. Not only will the wall fail to keep illegal immigrants out, it will only make the situation worse. Building the wall will monopolize border crossing for the cartel. Any good businessman knows that as soon as something is illegal or prohibited, the price goes up for underground businesses. The Mexican Cartel will be able to make more profit and therefore grow if we build this
Whether or not the United States should build a wall to secure the border around Mexico is a controversial topic. The controversy is mainly over the cost and true purpose of the wall. Many people wonder if there is a need for the wall to be built, while others are pushing for the massive wall to be built. Many do not believe the wall would stop the immigrants from illegally crossing at all. “Human migration routes are like rivers: If they hit an obstacle, the flow finds a way around it” (Chappell). Although the idea of building a wall is controversial, many would agree that the idea is expensive, a waste of time, and ridiculous.
The United States should not build a wall on the Mexico border because of all the bad effects It could have on the U.S. after it’s built. One of the main effects of the wall would be on the economy, the trade with Mexico would be crushed by the wall, jobs would be loss too. Another effect if the wall was made is the social effect on the communities of the people around the wall. One last effect of the wall being built is the political task of .
America runs on the belief that everyone should have a chance to live and experience the American dream. However, politics sometimes muddies the water a bit and hinders any chance of this happening for immigrants. Immigration control is a major concern and sometimes sheds a bad light on the people who cross into America this way. Some American people believe the best way to keep potential threats out the country is to build a wall, and that all their problems would stop there. What people don’t realize are the implications of this wall and everything that it be affecting as collateral damage. America is in economic turmoil as it is, a wall would just tip the scale into massive debt. At the source of all this is the human tendency to protect what is theirs, America is marking its territory but is
Many have already been asked to give up farmland along the border, and others face the threat of being cut off from their sacred lands. Those who have already been affected by the wall face the challenge everyday of being separated from their loved ones. Their only hope to see those they have been separated from is a small wired part of the wall just south of San Diego, Friendship Park. The border wall goes against what America was built on, and will not stop illegal immigration or the issues it may cause.
When president Donald Trump declare on his agenda that he will build the wall, he seems to forgot about many factors. It’s not just who’s going to pay for it but how it will affect the United States. However, there are millions of people who lives in both side of the wall. If the wall was build, the business will comes and the property owner will start to see ‘their land’ bisected by the wall. Indeed, the Mexican government saw this problem and they has published studies on its impact. The border wall is going to threaten the diversity of two communities along the 1,989 miles. Moreover, building the huge and large wall wasn’t easy because its need a lot of money to make it happen. The
Should There be a Border Wall? Ever since Trump became president there has been a large amount of debate about deciding if there should be a border wall or not. Some walls are built to keep people out: others are built to keep people in. There should not be a border wall built.
In the past few years, there has been a recent push for a border wall to protect the United States from the increase in immigration and drug trafficking. Although the border wall aids in reducing problems in our country, it is affecting the economy of the country and the health of our environment, therefore the border wall is not the best solution.
