Delayed decisions can be detrimental or even stifle the innovation process altogether especially for cases that require urgent attention. Not only decisions take longer time by going to GSC, they were also not made on the spot at the council’s meeting. After each meeting, feedback is provided to presenters, issues and concerns highlighted, and suggestions/recommendations that may have been made pointed out. ii. Technology portfolios are only discussed every September, thus delaying spending budget approvals for feasible projects. GSC devoted a meeting every September to review the technology portfolios of each of the businesses. iii. Number of unnecessary attendees in the meeting.
