15 April 2015 The Qur’an as many know is the Holy Book to the religion of Islam. Within the thirty chapters of the book are one-hundred fourteen Surah, which are like verses in the Holy Bible, where the Surah contains the words of the great prophet of Islam, Muhammad. Many examples of Sharia law are taken from the Qur’an and are still in effect.
Similarly to the Catholic religion, the religion of Islam has their own set of Ten Commandments that outline the basic laws of Middle Eastern Society. According to the Qur’an, the Ten Commandments are; The First Commandment explains the fidelity of a Muslim which is to join not anything in worship with God. The Second Commandment to be good and dutiful to parents. The Third Commandment is to kill not your children because of poverty. The Fourth Commandment states to come not near to “shameful” sins whether committed openly or secretly. The Fifth Commandment describes murder as kill not anyone whom God has forbidden, there’s some leeway on this law. The Sixth Commandment describes fatherless children as orphans when they mean come not near to the orphan’s property, except to improve it, until he (or she) attains the age of full strength. The Seventh Commandment provides the basic grounds to the justice system when they say “give full measure and full weight with justice.” The Eighth Commandment shows the structure of manners, “whenever you speak, say the truth
