I interviewed Ms.Grealy. Name of School, church, or agency? The name of the school is The Reform Church Nursery School. Education received? Ms.Grealy has a bachelor in education. Years of working and at present location? In the field? Ms.Grealy has worked at the Reform Church Nursery School for ten years. She started at this school as a mom and as her kids got older she started working here and then teaching. Work title? Ms.Grealy is a teacher in the morning and a ministrative assistant in the afternoon in the office. What works better with the children? The Reform Church Nursery School is a play based school so they introduce more academic things through play like numbers and letters. Whenever Ms.Grealy has an opportunity to show counting or letters she involves fun games. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t because the children are in different levels of learning and understanding. What works poorly with the students? At this age sharing and taking turns. Some students get frustrated and some are patent because they have older siblings. Ms.Grealy tries different strategies for the students for example when the students are lining up some come right away and some need a little me guidance. What is the biggest mistake you have made with parents? During confence times when your finding the right words to tell a parent if there are any learning issues that you are concerned with. For some parents this is their forst classroom experience so a parent doesn’t like to
For my Field Experience I chose to observe at Krahn Elementary which is a part of Klein Independent School District. After my approval, I was assigned to four teachers and their classrooms. I observed at Krahn Elementary on six Tuesdays between 15 September 2015 and 27 October 2015, and more or less followed the schedule that was given to me by the Assistant Principal Ms. Shannon Strole. From 8:30 am to 9:15 am I observed Ms. Judy Burkes, who is a third grade Math and Science teacher. Her classroom is comprised of twenty students which range from average to below average learners and a student with ADHD and another with autism. For most part of my observation, M. Burkes had been working with her students on fractions and multiple digits addition and subtraction. From 9:15 am to 10:30 am I observed Ms. Lisa Parker who is a Math co-teacher and resource teacher at Krahn Elementary for grades K-5. During my assigned time, Ms. Parker usually joined Mr. Duru’s fifth grade class of twenty three students as a co-teacher and when required would pull out a group of six students after initial instructions from Mr. Duru and would teach them the concepts separately at a slower pace. This particular group of students with special needs was mostly seen to be focusing more and more on mathematical word problems. These students were students with Learning disabilities, behavioral issues and one of them was a student with ADHD. From 10:30 am to 11:15, I was with Ms. Janice Bluhms, who is a
I learned the day before my visit, Miss Suzy threw a pizza party for the children. The day of my visit they were going to make their own individual pizzas (I did not get to view that part of the day). I noticed that during circle time, two children seemed uninterested had wandered off. Miss Suzy did not do anything about it, she just let them be. I thought that was wrong of her because the two children were not being involved. The children could of already known what they were speaking about. If that was the case she should of given them some work to do. When circle time was over, Miss Suzy asked each child which part of the room they wanted to play in. Students chose dramatic play, arts and crafts, reading, and playing on the computer. Miss Suzy walked around each group asking them questions, expanding their imaginations. Morrison states "that teachers work with gingival children, small groups" (2003, p.232). Watching Miss Suzy, you can see she really enjoys what she does. She never once ignored a student who went up to her. She seemed genuily interested when the children shared stories with her. She always welcomed them with a hug when walking into the room in the morning to begin their day, and the children would come in running to hug her.
For my visitation, I chose the BCFS Health and Human Services agency located in my hometown Jourdanton, Texas. This agency stands behind a motivational standpoint of creating a “place to call home” within “building a family that is meant to be”. BCFS (Baptist Child and Family Services) is a global system of health and human service non-profit organizations with locations and programs throughout the United States as well as Eastern Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa. BCFS helps those who are in need such as adults with disabilities, youth from foster cares, families involved in crisis matters, minors not involved with their families, orphaned children, families who wish to foster or adopt, violence victims, the homeless, soon to be mothers’, and much more. This
Missouri Baptist Children’s Home was established on April 1, 1886, and has been serving children, youth, and families since that time. Through a restructuring of the corporation in 2001, MBCH Children and Family Ministries (MBCHCFM) was organized as the service delivery agency for Missouri Baptist Children’s Home for a total of 16 years in business as currently constituted. MBCHCFM is licensed by the State of Missouri as a child caring and as a child placing agency, and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation. Before the restructuring of the corporation as noted above, Missouri Baptist Children’s Home has been accredited since 1977. Long before accreditation was required for state contracts, our agency was committed to reaching the highest standard of care and made the decision to become accredited through COA.
I started the interview with straightforward questions. I asked her about her health and I asked her about her pain. She is currently taking a medication that is controlling her diabetes. Since she has been diagnosed with diabetes for more than ten years, I wanted to know more. I asked if she remembers why or how did she develop type 2 diabetes. During that time, Maria was under a lot of pressure. Her mother and her sister had recently died and her husband was making less than $70 per week. She was constantly worried that her life was falling apart. When I asked her about pain, my grandma told me she has chest pain. Due to her pain, she recently found out that she is diagnosed with

As well as her privious job of being a parent educater which helped to provide her with necessery skills. I then asked her how she well she
The person I decided to interview is a Child and Family Specialist who's been working for EYS for 8 months now. I will not identify this employee, but I will give him a pseudo-name to protect his identity. Chris wright graduated with his BA in Social Work from Humboldt State University. He’s been working in the Social Work field for approximately 3 years doing a variety of work with children in Humboldt County. His duty as a Child and Family Specialist, is to build positive relationships with his clients and help them achieve goals set forth by counselors, family or schools. A large portion of his job entails Chris Wright to drive youth to and from appointments, jobs, meetings or simply spending time with the
I related to Ms. London that during my research for this interview I found three articles of interest to me in which she is mentioned and that I desired to know more about these programs and to get her insight on the programs in the news stories. Ms. London seemed pleased and very open and willing to answer. She takes time to read through the questions before responding.

In the classroom that I observed at Redemption Nursery School, the bulletin board in the classroom did support multiculturalism and diversity, their bulletin were very colorful and displayed the children artwork that they have done at the time. When I observed my classroom it was in the beginning of October, so the bulletin board still had Welcome to Pre-k and on the bulletin board there were children on the board who were all different races, Caucasian, Asian, Indian etc. Redemption Nursery school is a private Christian school and there are only about five classes at this school, so they do not have assembly programs, the only assembly like program the school has the children go to church once a month, so they children that are Christian are embracing their culture. They do go on trips, but the trips do not embrace the cultures of others. I thought the assignment and projects were reflective of multiculturalism because in the classroom I observed the children were different races, from Caucasian, African American, Chinese and Indian and when the teacher had her students draw a picture of themselves and their family and she told her class that everyone is different and you can color yourself any color you want to. When the teacher would do a assignment the teacher would tell the students to color their pictures as you want to color it and they had a variety of different colors like brown, black, white, yellow for the students to color the picture of themselves.
This interview started like every other interview i had done. First i started with the basic questions of what is your name? When is your birthday? And then i asked where did you go to high school? Shelby clearly answered “Clayton Valley” i was shocked. We had graduated from the same school in the same year yet we never crossed paths. Shelby wants to go into sports med or even nursing but she is not quite sure which yet. When i asked about her personal life she had said that she lives with her dad and and two brothers.she has a good amount of pets which would include two dogs and four cats. She was the middle child which she did not exactly enjoy as she expressed how she would has to do everything around the house. We proceed to talk
I interviewed my boss Ann Lounsbury, who is a Title Reading and Math Team leader. She currently works at Kennedy Elementary school, located on the East side of Lawrence, Kansas. Currently there are about four hundred students at the school, it is preschool through fifth grade. Ann has been in the field of education for twenty eight years. During her time in education she was an elementary teacher, elementary school councilor, and currently a Title I Team Leader. She has been at Kennedy for the last seven years in her position. Ann’s responsibilities are being the team leader of the ten title staff, building assessment coordinator, building SIT team facilitator, and instruction coach. Ann is always busy at work, but seems to always find time to sit down with anyone if you need something. Though Ann’s title does not seem like it is in administration, she is the untitled vice principle at our school. Our school that we work in a Title I school. Seventy-eight percent of the students are on free and reduced lunch, though it is a low income school.
Working with First Presbyterian Church, four year olds and five year olds, was tough at different times to manage. For the first 30 minutes, Joy, Courtney and I taught the five year olds and the last 30 minutes was for the four year olds. Brainstorming our lesson plans for the day, we came up with a theme to teach the class around. It was interesting to see how the children responded to each activity that we had planned for each class. From the time that we first started in September to the last class, I believe changed tremendously throughout each class, progressing forward each time. Having experience in teaching young children at this age, allowed me to feel prepared when working with First Pres. The first class with these kids surprised
