The Native American tale of "Coyote and Bear", originally translated from oral tradition in nineteen six by G. A. Dorsey in the book The Pawnee, Mythology, Part I, tells us the story of Coyote who accidentally meets Bear, and in order to protect himself from being killed by Bear, starts to make up self praising stories to impress Bear. Eventually, Coyote convinces Bear, but after a few hesitant moves, Bear realizes that Coyote was lying. The tale then, ends up with the murder of Coyote by Bear. The most relevant literary figure used in the tale is the trickster, which is, in the study of folklore, a god, a spirit, or simply a human hero who breaks god´s or nature´s rules, sometimes with bad intention, but usually with final positive
The conflicts that change people the most are both things that you struggle with either against yourself or against other people. In the book Lord of the Flies, being stranded on an Island is very difficult for a number reasons. Not the harshness of the island, but things about who you are. On the island, if you don’t defeat yourself, then the island will most definitely defeat you, like what happen to Jack.
“Coyote and the Enemy Aliens” is a satirical commentary that effectively expounds on the intense objectification and dehumanization of Japanese Canadians during the colonial Canadian era. By depicting the grotesque living conditions, the Japanese were subjected to, King is able to critique the racist perspectives of the Canadian society. King condemns the actions of colonial white-men, depicting them as creatures engulfed in moral blindness that strive to fabricate an ideal white world. Moreover, King vividly portrays the idea of social dynamics, expounding on the helplessness of Citizens against dominant political powers. King also introduces an idea of conformity, showcasing how citizens gradually adapt to
Coyote is a myth from Keresan pueblos of New Mexico. He has condemned to be a perpetual wonderer. Ortiz sees him "just trucking along". According to one Miwok creation myth "Coyote shook his walik" (something similar to a blanket of Tule) to the

I think tricksters are essential to any world belief system. Human beings work so hard at figuring out the rules of the physical and spiritual world! We create language, governance, religion, music, art … and they all come with rules and rituals, regulations, do’s and don’ts. The problem comes when we make our lives so safe, so predictable, that we lose our ability to innovate, to meet new challenges, to deal with the unexpected or tragic. A trickster like Coyote is the crazy, creative, inventive energy that gets us out of that rut and comes up with solutions that our rules won’t allow us to see.

As they walk up the driveway, he hears a dog start to bark and run toward them. The boy says, “ This is Toby! He's my own dog. I feed him, bath him, even sleep with him” He sits there, staring at the boy laughing and petting toby. He thinks about how his mom used to play and rub on him too. He then is suddenly interrupted by the boys mom. She shouted, “ Ronnie, who the hell is this boy? He ain’t one of your school friends?” The boy responds, “ No momma, this here is some boy I found in the woods.” His mom responded, “ Okay, y'all boys need to get in the house and clean up, suppers in thirty minutes.” He stood there frozen, supposed by the fact that the mom didn't think twice about some random boy coming over. The boy then waved him down to go inside and clean up. When he went upstairs, he noticed all the deer heads on the wall. Once he got upstairs, he ran to he sink. He put his hands into a bowl, scooping water into his mouth. Once he got some water, he took his clothes off and hopped into the tub. He sat there, contemplating why he didn't turn around. Think of a world without entertainment that is cold, dark, and having no way to cook. Kaleki, Richard Erdoes, Alfonso Ortiz, and Charles Perrault retell three stories that talk about the animals that help to prevent this kind of world. Kaleki retold “How Stories Came to Earth”, Erdoes and Ortiz worked together on “Coyote Steals Fire”, and “Master Cat: Puss in Boots” was written by Perrault. Despite the fact that “How Stories Came to Earth”, Coyote Steals Fire”, and “Master Cat: Puss in Boots” all show examples of anthropomorphism and have the tricksters defeat a higher power, in “How Stories Came to Earth” and “Coyote Steals Fire” the trickster helps society in some way, while the trickster in “Master Cat: Puss in Boots” only helps his own
