From the time of the Prophet Daniel until the time John was chosen to reveal the future, the events that take place eventually causing the end of times have been sealed up. This world full of evil, sin and death will soon pass away, being replaced by a world full of love, peace and joy that will be everlasting. The knowledge of these future things and events is now made known to all mankind so that both believers and non-believers in Jesus Christ will be prepared and forewarned. (Revelation 1:1-3) “The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” The word revelation means revealing the truth, therefore, Jesus will reveal the truth He was given from God the Father and pass it on to all mankind through His servant John who will explain all that he sees, so that man will be able to gain the knowledge of things to come. Anyone taking to heart this knowledge and truth that is revealed through the book of Revelation will be blessed, as the act of taking this knowledge and truth to heart means they will apply and devote themselves to this knowledge and truth finding favor with God.
