Earthquakes, famines, diseases, and the rise of Islamic terrorism were recorded as our future history a long time ago. This is the time that Jesus referred to as the "beginning of sorrows," (Matthew 24:8 KJV). It is a future history that was spelled out before any of us were ever born. However, it is the frequency of all of the earthquakes, the natural disasters, and the occurrence of worldwide unrest that we must pay attention to, in order to better understand the travail of a changing world, and what that means to us right now, and in very real time. Jesus said, "All these things must come to pass, but it is not the end," Matt 24:6 KJV. The Earth is presently in an effacement stage, and it is ready to enter into a period of …show more content…
The New Living translation of Zephaniah 1:14 reads, "That terrible day of the Lord is near, swiftly it comes, a day of bitter tears, a day when even strong men will cry out." Did you hear that? Strong men will cry out! You know, the ones who thought they could take it all, and exalt themselves above God. The Day of the Lord will be a period of transition from man 's rule to God 's rule, and just as the birthing labor of a woman presenting with a child at full term, the Earth is starting to show signs of great fatigue. The Earth is getting tired and weary from the process of laboring to birth a new kingdom. The Bible is very clear that the Kingdom of God will be brought forth, however painful that may be. The Earth will one day move from its distress to great joy, just like that of holding a newborn infant in your arms, "… she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy…," John 16:21 NASB. The Earth will forget its pain and sorrow, and all things will be restored and made new as seen in Revelation 21:1.
In Ecclesiastes 8:7, King Solomon points out that man is greatly troubled by ignorance of the future. There is no reason for any of us to be ignorant of the future. We have the Bible! It is our immediate source to information regarding the future. It is also the source by which those who believe in the Holy Word of God, watch and carry heavy hearts for those who choose to ignore it. The apostle Paul writes, "For I would not, brethren, that you should be
Modern terrorism, as deduced from this literature, is acts to violence strategically used by secular groups spanning international borders with the aim of achieving a desired outcome. Further, it can be seen as organized activity whose genesis can be traced back to the 1880’s. From then to now there are identifiable traits and patterns observed from different (terrorist) groups which have allowed for the conceptualization of the term modern terrorism. This concept therefore, can be best explained in the context of being a wave or having a life cycle. That means it is a cycle of activity demarked by phases from inception and expands along the way then eventually it declines. The world, thus far, has experienced four waves of modern
During ISIS’s rise to power, there have been several key players, which have influenced the growth or decline of its movement. The center of Gravity (COG) for ISIS has been its ability to recruit volunteer foreign fighters from around to engage in its caliphate. In addition, local people from Iraqi, Syrian, and other Nations have been key players because of ISIS’s efforts promote fear and violence against their family or communities. Sunnis and Shia countries focused on regional power and security. Furthermore, the U.S. and its 70 Allies through Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign aim to defeat ISIS and promoting regional stability. The last key players are rival terrorist franchises or organizations like AQ, Taliban, Al Shabaab, and Hamas
If one is able to reach this conclusion that history is repeating itself in a chronological manner based on the overwhelming similarities between ancient and modern historical occurrences, then preparing for the next occurrence could not be more crucial. The next occurrence is the foremost reason why historical prophecies in Ezekiel should be utilized as a tool to educate people on how to approach and possibly solve current problems.
In the years of 1993-2001 President Bill Clinton was the President of the United States of America. During this time a reign of terror was inflicted upon the US by a terrorist organization called Al Qaeda. Throughout this paper I will discuss the missed opportunities to bring down Al Qaeda.
About 90 percent of Egyptians are Islamic. Most of them are Sunni Muslims. The other 10 percent is christian. Early Islam was spreading wildly throughout the Middle East. The spread of Islamic as well as economic and social factors fueled this expansionism. By the end of the Islam’s first century, Islamic armies had reached far into North Africa and eastward and northward into Asia. Among those first countries Egypt.
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only Matthew 24:36 (NKJV). Would you live your life differently if you knew you had a year left to live? Then it's time to better understand the future and prepare for it. We already know what it takes to live a life that’s good and pleasing to God. Ready or not, one day Jesus will return and the probability are that you might get to live to see it all happen. For now, 1 Peter 5:8 reminds us to stay alert, be vigilant while Satan wants us incoherent as he slows down the process of Christ, to get his job done. Don’t be fooled for one minute the enemy would love nothing more than to burn down your moral house. It’s important to live in anticipation
“In the fall of 2016 the 6,000 years of sin on earth will come to an end, everlasting righteousness will be brought in, and Jesus will come again to take His people to heaven…” Roth predicts.
During the round table discussion, I learned many things about what’s really going on with Isis and the possible results of this terrorism. Some things I absorbed from Isis consist of how they want to try and pick a fight with everyone around them and how they are trying to make the end of times occur. The roots of terrorism goes back centuries. Some professors stated that Isis is only trying to get America’s undivided attention by doing all of this unnecessary damage. Dr. Parker claimed that they have enticed the use of social media to inflict fear upon the American population, and those around them. President Obama claimed in a speech that Isis had been contained, and then they attacked Paris which brought complete surprise upon everyone
Jihadist...this is a word that most people hear everyday in the news. This term, these groups are evil beings who use fear and distort religion for their own benefit. Now many Muslims have been faced with startling stereotypes coming from people who are a part of the “civilized” world. The real issue is not just the evil people behind the terrorist acts but, the people who stigmatize Islam while preaching for peace. Islam itself is a very peaceful religion that has similar moral values to the other Abrahamic religions (Judaism and Christianity).
I mean seriously, who do these Al Qaeda guys think they are? First they go blowing up the twin towers, which I stayed in during a high school concert choir trip, and now this…Wanting Americans to convert to Islam, THE NERVE! How rude can these guys get? Instilling fear in every man, child and animal is one thing, but asking me to switch faiths? Shit, you 've crossed a line you really shouldn 't have crossed; you need to step off Al Qaeda. What? You don 't believe me? Well believe this, infidel: "Al-Qaeda has urged non-Muslims - especially in the US - to convert to Islam, according to a new videotape. The call is made by a man identified on the film as "Azzam the American", a convert also known as Adam Gadahn who is wanted for questioning by the FBI. He says ignorance of Islam leads Westerners to accept wars waged by their governments and Israel against Muslim countries. The video opens with an introduction by al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri." -BBC.com Al-Zawahiri has got to be the biggest affront on Middle America 's way of life since Al Bundy, perhaps even more so. And who is this "Azzam the American" character? Isn 't that the name of the genie Shaq played in that stupid movie? It 's all pretty sickening and I, as an American, am pissed off. This is what I am doing right now to "deal" with it, you know, blow off steam. I 've got Lee Greenwood 's "God Bless the USA" (you know the tune… "And I 'm proud to be an American") blasting on the hi-fi, and I 'm sitting at
For us to be part of a future idyllic world, God had to plan thousands, millions, and even billions of years in advance in order to establish our world and create an imperfect human species to occupy and rule over it. He gave us Free Will to choose between good and evil, and through His gift of tiny fragments of His special Energy as our Divine souls, He became the omniscient scorekeeper of our moral choices. How we behave in our lives will determine whether we gain admission into the Messianic Age, and the biblical
The description you get of ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) from people is not pleasant. George W. Bush has called ISIS “evildoers,” President Obama described ISIS as a spread of “cancer” over the Middle East, and John Kerry called ISIS “valueless evil” (jewishvirutallibrary.org, “The Islamic State: Background”). ISIS is the wealthiest, and most land controlling terrorist organization in history. This dangerous terrorist group needs to be stopped. As ISIS is a growing threat to the World’s safety, we as a nation need to work on limiting supplies to the Syrian people, border control into the United States, reduce ISIS’s income, along with continuing airstrikes and troops controlling the ground. With these series of tasks the
Have you ever had a fear for your family, your town, your country, or your world. How about the fear to have everything taken from you, destroyed, and not caring if it has hurt you or not? What about your fear and pain is, and can be someone else’s happiness? The fear of you being terrorized? That is terrorism. Someone else bringing fear and terrorizing you. That is a terrorist’s goal. Terrorism is common and is very difficult to stop. The government promises protection for the people, and their home, but they can not give that protection if they can not stop terrorism. Terrorism needs to stop to protect the live of the people, and their country.
The Middle East has been an area of conflict and religious extremism for the latter half of the twentieth century and it is expected to continue to be a region of conflict in the future. Why is it that terrorist groups constantly emerge and dominate for a period of time before steadily declining, only to be replaced by a different, equally or even more inhumane, splinter group? Saudi Arabian “Wahhabism” is a strain of fundamentalist Islam that has invaded and displaced traditionally moderate Islam and generates much of the conflict in the Middle East today. To combat and destroy future extremism and solve the problem permanently, the world and its inhabitants must deracinate this menace from its roots.
An ongoing, redeveloping, catalyst-ensuing catastrophe known as “The End of the World as We Know it” has been hypothesized since humanity’s humble beginnings that predicts the apocalyptic theories for mass extinction, earth-crumbling events possibly dictating the end of the world. So far, all theories: scientific, religious, or phenomena-related, who yield a specific date for the end of the world have been debunked; creation of this essay would not exist otherwise. It is what looms in the future that theorists and educators such as Dr. F. Kenton Beshore and David Powell understand to be the demise of Earth’s doomsday. President of the World Bible Society, Beshore, has calculated the “Rapture” to occur on or before 2021 with the “Second
