Theory Communication Paper In every company there are a great deal of management styles among all of the managers. While some managers prefer the classical management style that focus on increasing employee productivity, others like the management style of human relations which puts emphasis on how the employee’s feel at their work place. When any new employee enters a work place they have to try and figure out how their new bosses manage and how they run their business, this is management style. During my time at Sprouts I worked in the front end of the store either bagging or ringing customers out. It was usually the same group of people day after day, and we were all performing the same exact tasks that we did the day before. This alone was a way that the management style resembled a classical management style, having employees do the same repetitive tasks each day. The managers were only concerned about how much an employee could accomplish every day. For the workers in the front the managers would leave a long list of tasks to do and when someone wouldn’t finish it they would be marked for not doing their job to completion. For example, for closers there would be one to two workers and they would have to close down the whole store. There were multiply times were the front employees would go to the mangers and let them know that it was too much for one person to finish, however the managers did not seem like they were concerned about the work load but rather they wanted to add more and have it finished in half of the time. This style may work to manager’s advantage but only created stress for the employees. For example, one night while closing I was half way through the closing list and running out of time before I had to leave. I quickly rushed my few tasks and left one unfinished. I informed my manager before I left, but the next day when I came into work I was told that I had been written up because I did not complete my job duties of the night. It was

The Health commission (HEALTH COMMISSION) is a regulator of health and social care services in England. Their work of 2010 included registering all NHS Trusts and care homes under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 while continuously monitoring the performance and compliance of these services. In the article When the Problem is Management, author Lawrence Sawyer takes a look at the different styles that managers have in their practice, how they can better perform their functions and how they relate to the four basic functions of management. As an internal auditor, Mr. Sawyer provides some insight to these managers in helping them and their departments make better use of the tools they have and points out what basic function they are violating. This article and its basic points relate directly to the assigned 1st week 's reading in our Management 330 textbook and is an excellent example in how to relate the reading to a real life example.
