This is one of the most neglected areas in training as a group. Often we see exercises for the glutes, or butt, but don't often see exercises for the whole Posterior Chain. The Posterior Chain is the group of muscles that basically make up what we don't see on a regular basis: our low back, butt, and hamstrings (back of thighs). I remember back when I first started training on a regular basis. I had a bit of a paranoia about not being able to see my back and hamstrings, so I would train them harder rather than assuming they were ok. I think that behavior might play a role in why now I can perform a pull up with more than 100 pounds around my waist, but I digress.
