Personally I believe the root cause of terrorism is simply disagreement. Reasons behind the disagreement could be everything from race, religion, politics, or even land. When people strongly disagree with other people's beliefs things can get violent. This is when the terrorism starts. People begin to terrorize each other in hopes they will stop believing and expressing their opinion.
The Merriam Webster dictionary defines terrorism as the use of violence, or threatened use of violence, in order to achieve a political or religious goal. Terrorism is committed by groups that view themselves as victimized by a historical wrong. These groups of people will most likely have no formal connection to the government. Terrorism comes from the Reign of Terror initiated by Maximilen Robespierre during the French Revolution. The beginning of terrorism goes all the way back to the first
Also, the internet has been found to have a role to play in creating terrorists. The causes of terrorism are widespread and variable (Krieger & Meierrieks, 2011). Many school dropouts become idle and are vulnerable to be recruited to groups, which have hatred for the government, a particular section of the population or group of people.
A. Terrorism has been one of the largest issues for the world since the 9/11 terrorist attack, and have been on the UN agenda since 1934. Acts of terrorism have been displayed mostly in the Middle Eastern regions by religious groups, but more commonly identified by Islamic groups. Because of the atrocities and crimes committed by the Islamic terrorist a biased stereo-type, islamophobia, against all believers of Islam.
Capitalism is one of the reasons that causes Terrorism, there are some rich and some poor. The rich take advantage of the poor and exploit them, so the rich have the power to go into other countries and exploit those people of their labor and resources. Eventually those poor people get tired of it and decide to fight back. For example, the reason the Middle East is so discomposed is partly the U.S and Saudi Arabia’s fault. During
When an individual thinks about terrorism he thinks about various countries in a state of conflict with The U.S.A. However the underlying issue is much more complicated. In simple terms religious extremism or terrorism begins when people are manipulated, and are forced into believing the superiority of a religion over all others, and also to hate every one having different beliefs and opinions. Terrorists are not entire countries or an entire religion, they are in fact just a group
This week’s heavy focus on terrorism has brought up my past. I was very young when many of the original terrorist attacks happened. This idea that terrorism starts from someone being hurt or having something done to them is interesting. This vicious cycle that seems to never stop is confusing. What will ever stop this childish, “He did it to me so now I have to it to him”?
I believe that individuals become involved in terrorism simply because they want to. In my opinion most of them has experienced some type of rejection in their life, or is unhappy with the outcome of their future. They want to feel important as well as a part of something that does not go unnoticed. They need retribution in order to feel whole again. Out of all four types of theories as to why individuals get involved with terrorism I am leaning more to “because they are denied access to opportunities”. Basically they want something that they cannot have, resulting in them acting out with frustration which leads to them afflicting harm on others. To them nothing and no one else matters, except the terrorist group where they belong, so they
I believe terrorism is usually motivated by political objectives. Such politically motivated terrorist groups can be distinguished by their ideology. the ideology of politically motivated groups frequently allows them to justify their violence and blame their enemies for forcing them to choose the path of violence. Such groups can have various reasons for resorting to violence, such
Terror attacks are very awful and sadly occur way too often in our world. So one might ask why do these keep happening and why would someone commit these horrifying crimes. Just this year we have experienced eleven serious terror attacks, three of them happening in the United States , and eight more throughout europe. In my opinion the three main reasons why Terror attacks occur are; Religion, race, and hatred
Terrorism is a crisis that affects nationwide. Nations all around the world get attacked by terrorist and it affects the people physically and emotionally. There are a lot of terrorist groups out there, but the top that is causing mass destruction are Hamas, Taliban, Al-Qaeda and we all know them as they causing fear around the world known as ISIS. Terrorism is defined, to have 3 things the terror groups do. The first possible thing they would do a threat or an act of violence. Second is the terrorist group making strategies to where they should cause terror. Third is a direct attack on unaware people making them a primary target. There are ways to stop terrorism and stop the negligence and fight for what is ours and there will be peace
There are different reasons for the terrorism: actually, along with personal, political opinions , religious fanaticism and resentment over social exclusion, the legacy of colonialism lurks behind the current wave of violence in
Terrorism is an ever changing thing. More adversaries are using terrorism as a strategic tool that is adapting to the ever changing world socio-political environment. It is easier for these groups to get a hold of
In both examples mentioned above, there are exact motivating factors. In both cases the motivating factors are ideology and religion. But there are also many other factors which make people become terrorists and take guns in their hands or blow themselves
Terrorism motives range to where they were born, who and what encouraged them, and their reasons are vast. They might have been born in a family that was Muslim. Muslims live off the scripts that Mohammed left behind or the Quran. The Quran states that they want the world to be Muslim. Even if they were Sunni or Shai Muslim, they still have the mentality to do whatever it means. The birthfather of the Islamic religion was a warrior, he took the Middle East apart trying to get them to convert to Muslim. Even if they were somehow not Islamic in a Islamic state, they would be forced to convert to their religious group or what I would call a radical group but like their creator, they will try to follow in his footsteps. It’s what Christians do with Jesus. Those Muslims that were associated with Jesus
From the different challenges identified, it was established that adolescent girls were often confronted with many identity conflicts and low self-esteem. It was during the adolescent stage that many girls experience new societal expectations and responsibilities, which often resulted in identity confusion or internal conflict that needed to be resolved during adolescence. Consequently, the best ways of engaging girls were to first build their self-esteem, self-determination, self-efficacy and confidence. According to Powell (2004), by being supportive and giving tasks and challenges that raise self-esteem, adolescent girls may be able to have success in school and develop self-motivation. Powell (2004) stressed the need for supportive environments and the need to allow adolescents to develop their own unique identities.
