On November 5, the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, Devin Patrick Kelley shot at the church. The shooting killed at least 26 people, with many more wounded.
The Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, Massachusetts was one of the worst school shootings in recent memory and there were changes and precautions in security in the U.S., in schools and out. After the shooting, not just the Newtown School District changed their security, but so did most of the country. Vice President of the NRA Wayne LePierre started a movement so that there could be trained and armed volunteers in 100,000 schools.
A group of angry and worried moms petition together the following day of the Sandy Elementary Hook shooting. What started as a Facebook page plummeted rapidly turning into a lobbying force on members of congress. Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America wanted more focus on background checks on those who wanted to acquire guns within the United States. An alluring illustration by the campaign is born. The ad that catches the eye depicts a banned children’s book. Two girls are side by side in a library flooded with shelves of books. On the right side stands an American flag, and on the right sits an old rocking chair. The main focus is on the two little girls sitting side by side cross-legged. The girls are total opposites. The girl sitting on the right beside the rocking chair is a short-haired brunette holding an Assault weapon half her size. On the left besides the American flag, an African American girl is holding a children’s book, Little Red Riding Hood. The ad asks the viewers to guess which item is banned in the United States. On the bottom in tiny scripts it writes, “We keep ‘little Red Riding Hood’
On a tragic December day many families saw their children for the last time. They would soon find out that their children’s school had been the site of a school shooting. Adam Lanza killed many innocent lives and society could possibly benefit from these harsh actions. What would you do if you never saw your family again? All the families of the victims are still mourning after almost 2 years. Although the Sandy Hook shooting was a tragic day in history, society can benefit from this.
In my opinion, photos of Victims of the Sandy Hook Shooting should be released. The public should be allowed to see the photos so they can be informed about the chaotic problems that are occurring in society. With the photos being released to the public eye, people in society can better protect their families and friends. This will decrease the percentage rate of killings/shootings that might occur in the
The events of the San Bernardino shooting were a tragedy. 14 people were killed, and another 22 were injured when a married terrorist couple staged an attack on a Christmas party. This was an unmitigated catastrophe, but it spawned one of the most important security debates in recent memory. The FBI wanted to unlock one of the suspects phones, but were unable to do so because of security measures on the phone. The FBI wanted to brute force the password lock on the iPhone, but device would wipe itself after 10 failed attempts to unlock the iPhone. Thus, the FBI asked Apple to create an intentionally insecure iOS update, specifically for this iPhone, in order to bypass the security restrictions. Apple disagreed with the FBI, and tried to avoid helping the FBI in such a way, arguing it would undermine the purpose of security itself. Overall, Apple has the best argument, both legally and as a matter of public policy.

It held many struggles and disagreements, which lead to many retaliations, from both the Indians and the settlers. The Indians had been alliances with the white men until the massacre, which stated the settlers betrayal to all tribes.

For years there has been an ongoing battle with gun safety laws throughout America. When Sandy Hook occurred, and the Las Vegas massacre, what about the two hundred and twelve school shootings that happened in America this year; we’re only in February (Cook). You would think after Virginia Tech they would have solved the problem then and none of this would have happened. Recently there was a mass shooting in a high school in Florida, this has caused an uproar leading student victims to protest and fight for gun laws. We are tired of not being able to feel safe at school or a concert. Our government is not doing enough for our safety, that is why we should come together as one force and fight for gun control.
Sex trafficking is becoming more of a problem as time moves on. Sex trafficking is the recruitment, harbouring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for the purpose of a commercial sex act, in which the commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion [Internet Safety 101]. Sex trafficking is increasing due to the evolution of modern day social services and sources. From safety sources, it is the second fastest growing criminal industry, [Internet Safety 101]. Increasingly, sex trafficking is coming about due to the evolution of the internet and the improved ability of GPS tracking. On social media, many people find other people and try to be their friend, even if they don't know who they are. This provides opportunities for fake people to create more of a problem. The internet is providing different advertising places that can increase the effect of sex trafficking and lure in citizens to becoming victims. Sex trafficking has to come to an end for the safety of citizens, for the safety of their pride and dignity.

Fifty six percent of the people in this age group are the victims of cyberbullying through both digital and social media. Last but not least, one out of every two people has observed discrimination through language on social networks. Fifty one percent of people think this is wrong, but forty-six percent of people think it is okay as long as the sender makes it clear that they are joking. Similarly, fifty four percent of people believe close friends can
For such a long time, physical bullying has been the largest problem schools and parents had to face with their children, but now another form of bullying has arisen; cyber bullying. In society today, teens are drawn cell phones, laptops, and other technological advancements. Social media is a way for many teens and adolescents to interact with one another and share countless happenings of their personal lives. Cyber bullying occurs when individuals use the internet to send or comment cruel and unnecessary messages to another. In its various forms cyber bullying includes, indirect and direct harassment, posting inappropriate pictures, impersonating another being, or just being plain cruel. Although anyone can become a victim of cyber bullying, improper use of the internet can further induce harassment, due to the adolescents desire to use modern day technologies. The harassers could be classmates, online “friends’’, or anonymous users. One barrier that is difficult to overcome is determining who is responsible for the attacks online, because many bullies hide behind fake usernames or profiles to protect their real identity, which is commonly known as “hiding behind a screen”. (Bonanno 2013). The motives for a cyber-bully are never clear, some might say
