From my personal observations I have found that educators that specializes in kindergarten through 12th (k-12th) grade commonly has plenty of health issues after their teaching of about twenty to thirty years and onset of retirement. They are required daily to stand on their feet for an extensive period of time teaching and monitoring their students, this eventually wears the body out and results in massive health problems such as knee and ankle tears, varicose veins, and back aches. Most health issues tend to be incurable and educators has to cope with their pain for the rest of their lives. Something I have noticed from my personal relationship with family members who are teachers is the constant standing is a tear on their body and they will have to eventually prepare for the long days by purchasing expensive garments to attend work and prohibit future damages to their own self. In health care benefits for k-12th educationers the first modification that the teachers should have is a complimentary pair of shoes for their job. Apart of a teachers job is to stand on their feet for an extensive period of time which eventually causes their legs and feet to counteract with health issues such as varicose veins and ankle tears. These specified health issues can only be cured with expensive surgery and most of the time teachers do not always have that privilege to pay for any type of surgery due to the lack of health insurance. According to Erin Macpherson, a teacher, and the author of “ teacher gear we love works shoes” she rates the best pair of shoes that a teacher should receive while they go to work, about every shoe cost a little over fifty-dollars. Although they may be a little on the expensive side, it is more important that health benefits is concerned with the workers than anything else.
