It's quite difficult to diet because most people hear conflicting advice on what to eat and when to eat it. Many people have been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. They've been told that to effectively diet they should eat small meals throughout the day. It's no wonder that people struggle with dieting.
What is Intermittent Fasting?
Intermittent Fasting, or IF, is the decision to skip meals with a purpose. You don't avoid meals casually or without a schedule involved. There are a few ways to implement IF into a lifestyle depending on the style that works for the individual. Calories are consumed during certain eating windows throughout the day, or the person skips an entire day of calories and eats on alternate days.

The faster will consume calories every other day. For example, if Monday is a day of fasting, Tuesday would be a day to consume calories. Most fasters using this method will choose Monday, Wednesday and Friday as days to fast. The weekends are when calories are consumed.
How Does IF Work?
The science behind Intermittent Fasting shows that your body will behave differently depending on whether you've just consumed calories. The timing of calorie consumption matters too. After a meal, the body will spend some time processing that food. It'll use it for energy instead of the fat stored in the body. The fat is what you want the body to consume when you're dieting.
When you're in a state of fasting, the body will reach for food to consume. Without that food available, it'll pull from the body's fat stores. This is especially true when you're working out with in a fasting state. Your body won't have food to pull calories from, so it'll look to the fat stores to fuel the body during a workout.
How Can You Get
- It's similar to not eating at all (fasting). At first, you will experience rapid weight loss - a lot of it will be "water weight", as you deplete your glucose reserves in the form of glycogen in muscles (a glycogen molecule requires 4 molecules of water to be stored, so once it is used up - all the water is freed up and excreted). After that glycogen is used, to maintain your basal metabolism and fuel whatever activities you perform, your body will switch to... mostly muscle.
Close your eyes and pretend you have a reset button for your mind body and spirit when things are not looking or feeling how you want them to. Now you have pressed that reset button making your desires a reality. But this is no scam or magic trick. So, what is the catch you might ask? The catch is simple, just one having patience. It is not what you have to do but more what you don’t have to do. Intermittent fasting is the sustainable lifestyle choice for maintaining health, discipline and spiritual fitness. Intermittent Fasting has been practiced since ancient times. Some religions like Muslim, Christianity, Buddhism and many more still practice Intermittent fasting. Even animals practice fasting in times of sickness to regenerate. Is
Fasting is a body cleansing procedure during which food is restricted and only liquids are consumed. Strictly water fasts are the most brutal; herbal teas and juices made from fresh fruits and vegetables are consumed during a more liberal fast. Juice fasting is the preferred method amongst many doctors and European fasting clinics, perhaps because it is less harsh than other treatment plans.
When I first heard that this assignment would require for is to log the meals that you consumed during a two day period I thought that may I should push it to two weeks. The reasons why I choose two weeks is because it would force me to become more dedicated to the task at hand forcing me to track a week's worth of meals. I would then during the second week force myself to eat from all of the required food groups/ eat the recommend intake and keep track of the proper of all of for a week.
All the religion's are based on methodology. Some religions believe that by praying once a day will bring them closer to God, and some think praying five times a day will bring them closer to God. For example, Hindus have a day called Carva Choth, Muslims have Ramadan, and the Jews have Yom Kippur. They all have different purposes for fasting, but there is one thing in common, which is a connection through humans to God. In World War Two, the Nazi Germans captured all the Jewish people and put them in concentrations camps, also known as the "Holocaust." By Fasting and linking to God by prayers, they asked God for forgiveness for all their sins they have committed. At that time Fasting had multipurpose, it showed the Germans that not

When feasting, excess is being stored as glycogen inside the skeleton muscles within the liver, but during that time, once it becomes filled, they started to become stored as fat. When our food isn’t consumed for 24 hours, the body starts to use our fat as energy.
Many people make the mistake of not eating after a hard workout and they end up not getting the results they were looking for. The reason for this is that their body didn't get replenished properly after their workout and their body needs to get back everything it lost.
Accounts of fasting can be traced back thousands of years. The primary purpose of fasting in those days was to flee from the distraction of eating, to give your full attention to something else, often through the form of prayer. However, fasting is becoming increasingly popular in a different kind of way. Today many scientists and doctors are studying fasting as a type of healing process, not just mentally, but also physically. These beneficial effects have been seen in the treatment of weight loss, mental health, cancer, skin disease, and a host of other ailments. While fasting may not be safe for a select few, the possibility of life changing benefits warrants everyone’s consideration.
Food service director Karen Rubin said, if you don’t eat foods for long hours, the brain thinks that you are going to starve, as a result the body consumes more cholesterol and fat for storing energy.
After the three days, he refuses to be tempted by food, only drinking one cup of water and later, not even wanting to drink that. While his fasting seems extremely damaging (even Wole acknowledges this and fears what damages he is doing to his body) the effects on him are astonishing, as he describes feeling “true weightlessness”, a sensation where his mind is opened, colors are intensified and he hallucinates. It is clear through his experience that fasting is very important to him, and may make him feel more alive or better that when he is not fasting, giving him a superhuman feeling, and may use fasting as a means to escape his reality, such is when he is in prison.
Skipping breakfast for weight can lead to more serious problems such as eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. Most common in college students.

A major part of Intermittent Fasting is eating. Yes, that sounds self-explanatory, doesn’t it? Let me explain. Eat- ing is very important in our day-to-day lives and we must consider what we consume very carefully. With Inter- mittent Fasting, you can consume higher calorie foods like that six-dollar burger from Carl’s Jr or that pasta from Olive Garden without worrying too much about excessive fat gain, but you do have to ensure that your body gets its proper nutrients.
