Patrick Tyrrell was a chief operative of chicago district of secret service. There is a plot twist though in Patrick tyrrell’s secret service career. Patrick was getting very bored with his job and him and his boss would go back and forth about new cases for Tyrrell to handle with. None of the cases his boss gave him were ever super thrilling and interesting to deal with. So one day Tyrrell asked his boss if he could take a major case. The interesting thing about the case was that it wasn't dealing with counterfeiting. It was actually based on body snatching. Tyrrell had a certain group in mind that would always meet at a local bar called the Hub. He was always interested what went on in that bar but he wouldn't be able to just walk in there

Well a secret service is an agent that protects and carry executive orders from their commanders to carry on their missions. The U.S Secret Service has two major areas they are required to do. They are to prevent financial crimes and protection who harms or threat our homeland which is the United States of America. They have missions that take place all over the world. Agents have different agencies they could work for like the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration). The DEA which is the (Drug Enforcement Administration) was created by Richard Nixon through an Executive order in 1978. When the DEA was first created it had about 1,740 secret agents and a budget less than $75 million. Now in present time the agency now has about 5,000 agents and a budget that had increase to $2 million.

The Operations Superintendent would have OPCON and TACON as well. Making small changes to how we operate as an organization to become more effective in daily operations would be TACON. The flight chief is the best example of TACON as they run the flight who is conducting the daily operations. They are told to conduct guardmount, but they are not told in what order they conduct their briefings or what type of information needs to be briefed every day. They also assign who gets posted at each location for the day. OPCON would be the post priority chart that tells the flight chief which posts are the most important and require the most manpower. TACON is used when the flight chief decided who will work the most important post and who will work the gates. Below is a flow chart to help you understand how OPCON and TACON blend together (Figure 1-1). ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL (ADCON) Administrative Control is the direction or exercise of authority over subordinate or other organizations in respect to administration and support, including organization of Service forces, control of resources and equipment, personnel management, unit logistics, individual and unit training, readiness, mobilization, demobilization, discipline, and other matters not included in the operational missions of the subordinate or other organizations. ADCON is mostly the responsibility of the Service Chiefs and Secretaries. However, some functional areas can also utilize ADCON. CONCLUSION Understanding

The United States Secret Service started in 1865. At first the Secret Service goal was to combat the counterfeiting currency. The duties of the Secret Service agent expanded after the assassination of President William McKinley in 1901 at Buffalo, New York. Everyone knows that the Secret Service agents will take a bullet for the President, but what they may not know is that Secret Service agents are just as prepared to take a bullet for everyone under their care. The Secret Service agents are charged with tasks of protecting the President, Vice President, and both of their immediate families that are selected by the President or Vice President.

The United States of America has an elite group of men and women who protect their President, and handle monetary crimes such as counterfeiting, and financial crimes, they are called the United States Secret Service. These top agents work hard daily to crack down on fraudulent crimes, and keep the Commander in Chief alive. This report will highlight their work from 1850- 1901. 3 presidents were killed in this time period, and much of the USA’s currency was fake and useless. According to Julie Campbell (2012) there are 73 different federal agencies, which employ120,000 sworn law enforcement agents with arrest powers (pg.2). The first federal enforcement agency that was created were the U.S. Marshalls, they were chosen by George Washington and they help establish the federal system. The U.S. Marshalls are still chosen by the president today, but it must be passed by the senate. Some of the duties performed by the U.S. Marshalls are judicial security, fugitive investigations, and transporting federal court criminals. It’s a messy, scary job but someone has to protect the world from things that go bump in the night, and if you have to leave somewhere early, you can always claim that you’re working.

There are many federal agencies in play in the United States government. Each agency is important in ensuring that the governemnt runs smoothly and effectively. One example of a federal agency that is crucial to the governemnt is the United States Secret Service. The secret service is a premier federal law enforcement agency that has multiple uses. The agency has evolved over the years, and now has over 7000 employees. It operates in a secretive way to ensure the protection of financial and critical infrastructure of the United States, while also protecting the nation’s leaders.

I’ve always been drawn towards philosophical issues. For example, is civilization a part of nature? Well, one answer may come from a recent film that has unsettled me in this topic. In Kingsman: The Secret Service, the character Valentine calls humans a virus and the Earth the host. He concludes that “the host kills the virus, or the virus kills the host.” I disagree with Valentine, and here is why. When most people hear the word nature, they do not think of a thriving metropolitan city. But I do. Prior to graduating, future analysts will need to have knowledge of the profession and how they will be able to become an information security analyst. Graduates should expect to “plan and carry out security measures to protect an organization’s computer networks and systems” in this profession(United). Analysts also have duties such as monitoring the organization’s networks for security breaches, conduct investigations when breaches occur, install
