In the resolution of The Shawshank Redemption, the valiant protagonist, Andy Dufresne sets his ingenious escape plan into action, leaving everyone in utter wonderment. Over the course of nineteen years, Andy spent most of his time in secret burrowing through his cell wall. All of this was hidden by the poster of Rita Hayworth and Andy’s introverted personality. Throughout Andy’s time served in prison no person except for, Andy, himself knew of his elaborate plan. On the night of the breakout, Andy replaced the Warden’s files with false copies, this was done easily as Andy had always managed his money laundering scheme. He also swapped the Warden’s shoes with his own, and stole one of his suits. Once Andy destroyed the wall, he endured five hundred yards of crawling through a gruesome sewage pipe and embraced his freedom when he escaped. As seen in the film, the Warden and the guards were in sheer horror, unable to figure out what happened. Meanwhile, Andy is seen strolling into Maine National Bank under the of “Randall Stevens”, the character he conjured up out of thin air. Andy is also seen depositing money and dropping off mail to be delivered. It was later revealed that the mail was sent to the newspaper revealing the corruption behind Shawshank State prison. The next morning the tables completely turn and everything has taken a turn for the better. With Andy successfully escaping and venturing off to Zihuatanejo, Captain Hadley is arrested, the Warden committed suicide
