A Route Through A Maze

The Investigate sections provided a number of amusing mind games. Most of them were easily solved, however, the problem with trolls and knights sent me into a mind loop.

The game was about the following direction while creating different shapes using mathematical concepts such as lines, left and right. I had to create figures with blocks as I moved along. There were several sections that I had to complete. Each section was getting a little more complicated to accomplish because there were more steps to follow. You can say that we had to use algorithms because we had to follow a process to problem solve. I had to read and know which direction I would choose so that my character would finish their task. In order to pass to the next level, you were supposed to finish the first puzzle or section that you were on. The game that I had did not provide hints like the first one that I tried. The game had a lot of repetition which provided a choose for several turns in one.

The resolution of the novel is when Jonas reaches Elsewhere and he finally reaches a place far away from his community. His journey to Elsewhere included many hardships and obstacles like hiding from search planes, keeping Gabriel alive, and trying to keep himself alive. No doubt, it was hard for Jonas to escape his community and build a life elsewhere, but I think that it will pay off, and finally, he can be free. The symbol I chose to represent the journey to Elsewhere and Beyond is a maze. As many people know, some mazes are very hard to figure out, with dead ends and paths leading to nowhere. The game of chess helps us understand how technology inhibits our thinking. Chess used to be human against human. Now we add computers to the equation. In 2005, a chess tournament was help where the team options were a mix of human, machine, or both combined (Thompson, 345). When a professional play with no machine played against an amateur with a machine the amateur won (Thompson, 345). This shows that the machine did majority of the thinking. When fights occur, the correctional officers will use maze or paintball guns with maze in the ball to disperse the crowd. It takes a few seconds to affect them but for those few seconds the inmates start to curse out the correctional officers. There were multiple inmates throwing up gang sign and working out. Our tour guide officer told us a story about the Norteños. She told said that a correction officer didn’t ensured the door closed therefore, the Norteños acknowledge this and the leader of that gang ordered 2 members to beat on the enemy while the 3rd member holds the door. The 3rd member went on the ground and locked his arms out by the door, so the correctional officer couldn’t close it. They finished beating the inmate up and went back

The school board has announced the move of the school to a pumpkin patch. We are moving for the protection of all students and faculty. The school will be placed in the corn maze for safety and a path that will go through the trees for the students to follow to get to the corn maze. If they do not follow this path they will just keep walking through the woods so we would advise you to tell your children to stay on the path provided.

Any action you perform yourself or with another person may be viewed as human nature in some form. As humans, we have a sense of curiosity, survival, and violence. The Maze Runner, a book I read over this summer, may not seem like it contains examples of human nature, but in fact does.

“Son of a _____!,” a catchphrase that everyone could associate him with. Although his famous saying wouldn’t be considered “family-friendly,” I remember my grandpa as the sweetest man in existence. Similar to the concept of glue, he kept our family together. When it came to family dramas, Grandpa always played peacemaker. With family holding a huge importance in his life, Grandpa frequently hosted parties at his house, and he made it a priority for our family to attend. Whether the occasions be a boxing match, a birthday celebration or simply a three-day weekend, he wanted everyone together. Even after death, Grandpa managed to bring his family together for the weekend of his funeral, which gave me the opportunity to experience unforgettable

Although some things in life can sound devastating and illogical, to consider that everything happens for a reason might change ones viewpoint on a problem. In The Maze Runner by James Dashner, some people have not considered that. Dashner writes about a boy named Thomas who finds himself in strange, vast maze that shifts its position everyday. He is accompanied by others (who call themselves Gladers) who, just like him, have no recollection of their past. After Thomas had spent one day in the maze, a girl is sent into the maze with a message that she is the “last one ever.”

Every day individuals are faced with many different problems for example deciding what to wear, finding a suitable place to park your car or even completing an assignment. Whatever the problem is, ‘problem solving is defined as any goal-directed sequence of cognitive operations’, as suggested by Anderson (1980, p.257).
