The South Beach diet
The South Beach diet originated from Miami, Florida, by an American cardiologist called Dr. Arthur Agatston. During the diet, the South Beach diet emphasizes the consumption of high-quality carbohydrates such as: whole-grains and fruits and high-quality fats such as: low fat cheese and skim milk. In contrast, it eliminates dire carbohydrates such as potatoes and dire fats such as: bacon, butter, and cream. This allows people the luxury of several high energy foods that contain good carbohydrates and good fats, whilst eliminating cravings and keeping taste buds satisfied. This diet has three phases.
Phase 1 - is designed to stabilize your blood-sugar levels and eliminate cravings for sugary foods and refined starches. This phase will provide rapid weight-loss in only 14 days long. You 'll eat plenty of filling, nutrient-dense foods to satisfy your appetite so you 'll never get hungry.
Phase 2 - is designed to eat a variety of delicious foods and lasts as long as it takes for you to reach your weight-loss goal. Re-introduce some of the prohibited foods from phase one such as carbohydrates and fats. Foods like whole grain and wheat, bread brown rice, fruits, sweet potato, olives, and yoghurt. Your weight will continue to drop steadily (although more slowly than on Phase 1). This is the healthy way to lose weight and keep it off.
