Myth: America defeated Nazi Germany with help from its plucky British and United States sidekick Truth: The Soviet Union defeated Hitler pretty much by itself Thesis: There was a myth saying that America has a big role in helping the Soviet Union to defeat the Nazi Germany. Without the help of America, Germany could have occupy the whole Soviet Union. In fact, the Soviet Union could defeat Germany by itself since the time the U.S. involved, the Soviet Union was almost done defeating the Nazi Germany.
