As humans, it is undeniable that we all have our fortes and faintness.
My greatest weakness is my lack of ability to comprehend the ideas communicated in long passages on topics I am not familiar upon my initial reading. I read such passages twice or thrice in order to grasp the concept and the ideas

Interpersonal skills as defined are the tools people use to interact and communicate with individuals in their environment. All my lecturers and friends can attest to my verbal and non-verbal communication qualities. During presentations, it is either I am solely presenting or I am part of the people leading the presentation for my group. My anxiety level is low when talking in front of a large crowd except only when not familiar with the topic I am to present on. Even with that, I manage to control my anxiety. I tend to make every presentation as interesting and entertaining as possible without losing focus on the main idea being communicated. A combination of strong listening skills, negotiable skills with very solid problem-solving and decision-making skills also defines my ability to communicate well. Confidence is further a major key component of my communication skills. I am not intimidated by any level of personality and always like to relate cordially with everyone I get in contact …show more content…
In my view, the ability to recognize personal strengths and weaknesses is a key skill needed to become a successful person. Upon the realization of my weakness in certain areas of my life, I work to improve myself in such areas and thus, consider this personal characteristic to be one of my strengths. Persistence is another personal strength that permeates into other areas of my life. The persistence to be good at anything I do helps me use my personal strengths to improve myself in the areas where I am weak. I set high standards for myself and believe in doing things well in order to be
I have many strengths, which keep me going. Some of these strengths are my family, which I get a lot of support from, my persistence, and most importantly, my hard work. Although I have amazing strengths, I also have weaknesses. One of them is that I am very shy , sometimes. The other one is that I can be a bit of a perfectionist. I'll just try to fix all of my flaws and focus on the things I'd like to accomplish.
In addition to my personal challenges my personal strengths interfer. A personal strength I have is talking , I love sharing my opinion. Another personal strength I have is giving good advice because I love helping people solve their problem or help make their lives easier. Lastly another personal strength I have is just listening because I am a good person to vent to because I don’t judge. Therefore I always spread positivity and lean a hand.
Based on the Clifton Strengths Assessment my top five strengths are strategic, deliberative, learner, maximize and individualization. As an individual, I rarely look into my weakness. I believe that when your too focused on your weakness, you forget about your strengths. Everything the book said is true, and we need to take the time to look at our strengths and make it perfect. It is true that in this world or the school system, we are taught to look at our weakness and correct it so that we can become stronger in our life. This book brings out the truth that I longed to hear for a long time. Invariably, I hear my professor tell their students that for them success in life, they must practice and look at our weakness. This book proves it wrong because for us to become successful, we must stay to our strengths’ path.
For me, recognizing personal strengths and weaknesses is key to being a successful person. If I realize I have a weakness in a certain area of my life, I will work to improve myself in that area. I consider this personal attribute of mine strength. I also use my personal strengths to improve myself in the areas where I am
As a learner and or student giving the advantage on knowing your strength and weakness will help you become a better writer, and to help you improve your writing skills. When a person plans or wants to do something, he or she has a motivation for that specific thing, that person has a reason why he or she should do that thing. Not only there is a reason to do something, but sometimes may be many reasons that are backing a person to take those actions to do it. This happens not only to humans, but to animals as well. People are excited about their best work. Best work is easier to achieve when there’s important factors to create effective
As humans, and particularly individuals, we all have personal strengths that we bring to our interactions with others as well as areas that perhaps need some more time and attention in order to improve upon them. In this journal, I’ll be focusing on four areas of strength I believe I have, as well as four areas the require further growth and personal change.
Latoria Payne your summary of the research study on falls acknowledged all the appropriate components. I thank you for pointing out the limitations because in my opinion the research had so much information I was unable to identify any imitations. I definitely agree that more than one hospital should have been involved with the study. The researcher chose to use the quantitative method and help give insight that the elderly are not the only population that is high risk for falls. I believe that hospitals should make fall prevention a number one priority by increasing staff members and educating the patient and families the many risk factors and possible consequences of
The strengths and weaknesses of a committed actor can be paradoxical. For this area I chose to consult with an acting colleague of 17 years. I thought it was necessary to have an objective perspective to honestly describe what has been observed from someone that knows me, personally. The following paragraph from a close friend and veteran actor explains this quandary in her description of me.
My greatest weakness is writing essays. Especially revising my essays I had to teach myself to think critically. My other weakness was grammar, and fragments. I have noticed the majority of my sentences were fragments. I had to teach myself to slow down. Time management was the key to slow down. It takes a little longer to write an essay with brainstorming and outline. The results were better results for each paragraph and sub lines of each paragraph would consist of such as sources. I have learned to transition sentences, and allowing all my sentences in my
Trying to decide what your personal strengths are, is hard. For myself, I have grown in my strengths, and I’ve experienced my weaknesses. My personal strengths consist of: positivity, encouragement, laughter, and love. I pick these four because I feel that I am truly strongest in these aspects of my life. Being positive is a big factor in everything I do. I always want to be happy and joyful; not only to display Christ in me, but to make others feel the way I do. I want others to appreciate life and to feel any kind of uplift in his or her spirt. Positivity plays into encouragement. I make it my goal to make others feel better about themselves. My goal coming into college was to learn and know every person(s) name that I got the chance to meet. Just taking a few minutes out of your day to truly get to know someone, is such a blessing. It not only blesses me in new friendships, but it also blesses others because they feel that someone genuinely cares about them. Laughter is another characteristic I strive to pour out onto others. I laugh at practically everything. I love to laugh, and I love to make people laugh. I’ve learned the importance of laughter, and I just want to make one person smile every day. Love is my last of the four attributes. Love is so important to me. I love creation (Trees, birds, squirrels), God, and I love people. I just want the love that God has given me, to pour out onto others. I want others to know that I love them. These are my personal strengths
A critical view of the self-weakness gives a reasonable result of ability, which can give influential suggestion of self-development.
I believe that life is a learning experience and being able to recognize our own strengths and weaknesses can help us become better individuals in anything we choose to do, whether it is positive abilities and skills that can help achieve our goals or negative personal areas that need improvement. Knowing yourself and what you can do, can help you recognize and overcome your weaknesses.
I believe reading is the key to finding success, whether it's work or play. I found several resources to improve on my weakness while enhancing my strengths. The four resources are Celebration of Discipline, Tools for Teams: Building Effective Teams in the Workplace, Bridges Not Walls: A book about Interpersonal Communication, and The 21 Irrefutable Laws Of Leadership Follow Them And People Will Follow You. It has been said that it takes twenty-eight days to develop a habit, I have decided to pace my self a month for developing each new technique I have researched and determined that these three resources can help find the growth I am looking for.

My strengths include not interrupting the speaker, maintaining eye contact to show I am actively listening, and being able to think critically about complex topics. Not interrupting a speaker and maintaining eye contact are skills I acquired early in my career to display my engagement and respect for the speaker. Understanding complex topics is something I continually learn how to do. This is aided by conceptualizing detailed knowledge and constantly learning more in the areas related to my field. My main weaknesses are the following. I don’t paraphrase the message to ensure I comprehend it. Typically, halfway through a presentation or meeting I have already formed my judgements of the speaker and the content. Often, I become distracted by a single point mentioned and am unable to identify all of a speaker’s main points. Now that I have identified my primary weaknesses, I can begin to improve upon them by altering my
