This was the daily resurrection signified the victory of the forces of day, light, purity, goodness, and life over those of night, darkness, ignorance, evil and death. The second major natural force was Osiris, ruler of the underworld and god of the dead. Osiris myth describe the idea of resurrection that was central to the ancient Egyptian believe system.
