A few weeks later, my mom and little sister asked me to go to church with them. And for some reason, I went! It was there that God spoke to me through my conscience and convicted me of the sins in my life. I became broken. And it was there at that church service, that the Gospel was finally good news to me! It made sense and I found out just how much God loves me! That 's when God 's love, changed me! See, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standards.” Romans 3:23. And God 's standards are the Ten Commandments. “For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.” James 2:10. And God, being Holy, Holy, Holy, cannot let sin go unpunished, for God’s punishment is Hell. “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8. “You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.” Colossians 2:13. See, I knew I needed to clean up my life, but the truth is I couldn’t. No matter what I did, I could not get out of the rut, the pig pen, I was in. I was lost in my sins and I was spiritually dead. “People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord.” Proverbs 19:3. That was me!
