There are many reasons that cause people to do bad things: many people do not want to draw the attention to themselves, often, it is easier to follow the crowd, and sometimes people find themselves caught in a tradition.
In “The Terrible Things” when the terrible things came for anyone with feathers on their back everyone said not me and didn’t even help the birds. The reason the other animals didn’t help the birds was probably because they didn’t want to get taken away either. I think this could have been avoided if all the animals had stuck together. As Little Rabbit says
“Mabey things could have been different if we had all stuck together.” People sometimes do bad stuff because of tradition. In “The Lottery” it is tradition
The Story, The Possibility of Evil is a truly interesting story that demonstrates the evil of a community that seems almost perfect. This story demonstrates how there is probably no place on Earth that evil has not reached. The story bases itself on a small suburban town and the people that live there. The reader meets Miss Strangeworth who is a sweet little lady that smiles to everyone during the day and starts conversations, but by the time she gets home she starts writing letters revealing secrets and unpleasant facts of her neighbours and fellow townspeople and
I think that people do bad things because they want to follow what others do and that person don’t want to get judged and that person is probably scared to go for what’s right. Some people do bad things because they think it is alright and all cool. Then the people that are doing hateful and cruel and bad things are always trying to draw attention.

Walter Dean Myers’ memoir Bad Boy is about how he traveled back to his past. This book that he wrote is, funny, and unforgettable. As a boy, Myers had a quick-temper, was physically strong, and was always ready for a fight. He also read voraciously, as he would check out books from the library and carry them home, hidden in brown paper bags in order to avoid other boys' teasing. He aspired to be a writer.
The Article “A Stranger in Strange Lands” written by Lucille P. McCarthy is an examination of the writing process. Jesus raised the standard of the Mosaic Laws in the Sermon of the Mount by supporting it with further guidelines to help guide the community. While Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 28 warned the followers of God to not do certain things or else you get certain punishments, Matthew 5-7 gives out a more peaceful set of codes to follow. Codes such as to from Matthew 5. spread your teachings to others, to not commit murder, an d to reconcile with your brothers and sisters quickly. Love your enemies and to not seek revenge or commit adultery. Matthew 6 tells Gods follows to not do big actions and to be praise. Lastly, Matthew 7 explains that one should respect others and to not be judgmental. To give good gifts and follow Gods teachings. To treat others the way you want to be treated.
When people think of monsters, the first thing that pops into their head is Frankenstein, zombies, creatures of the night. Monsters are scary. Monsters in society reveal peoples fears and anxieties, their preconceived notions of normality, and represent the unknown.
“Shut up! Listen! But Will wept. And again his father hauled off and hit him. Once on the left cheek. Once on the right cheek, hard. All the tears in him were knocked flying; there were no more.” (281). In the novel Something Wicked Comes This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury, a haunting carnival comes to Green Town, Illinois with its many sinister wonders and two-faced temptations. Best friends, Will Halloway and Jim Nightshade, had to muster up all their courage and overlook their fear if they wanted to liberate the town from the carnival’s dark magic.
In his 2004 City Journal article, Theodore Dalrymple expresses his view on the tremendous decline in the quality of life in Great Britain. He believed that society has accepted the notion that people are not responsible for their own problems. Also, that it is the “moral cowardice of the intellectual and political elites” that perpetuates the social dynamics that are responsible for the continuing decline of British society. According to the author, a physician about to retire after a career treating criminal justice offenders and victims, there are several pervasive misconceptions that explain the continuing decline of British society.
Film can be a very useful catalyst in teaching how not to treat patients. In Analyze This and Analyze That, we see very extensive examples of this throughout the film. Through farce and lampoon, we see the in this disjunctive way what proper CBT, criminal therapy and combating recidivism is all about.
The existence of evil in the world seems to make it impossible for us to have a meaningful life. In fact, Dostoevsky argues that evil is utterly unacceptable and that the suffering it brings a¬bout can never be justified. Is Dostoevsky’s argument unconfutable or do you believe that the meaning of life in the world can still be rescued even in the face of radical evil?
Good Will Hunting, a world famous film by Matt Damon, is one of the most well-crafted and profound films the world has ever seen. Released in 1998, the movie depicts a young South Boston screwup as he journeys from convict to mathematician thanks to his brilliant mind and the guidance of two clever but contentious men at each shoulder. Will is a young man looking to get through life with easy drinking and careless behavior, but after a run-in with a group of policemen and a challenging chalkboard, he is forced into therapy with a recovering widower and begins completing complex math problems with an unstable professor who is past his prime. He also takes up with a pre-med student at Harvard from England who shows him new ways to think about the world, even when he thought he had seen them all. The brilliance of Good Will Hunting comes in the shape of the witty dialogue, symbolic motifs, and a retinue of dynamic characters around the changing Will, and these all come together to create not just a film, but a work of art.
At the beginning of the 1970s, two men, by the names of Martin Scorcese and Robert De Niro, met and started an extremely successful and world renowned string of movie director/actor collaborations. Over the course of 22 years, spawning from 1973, with their first film Mean Streets, to 1995, with their most recent work Casino, the duo paired up for 8 movies, most of which are considered some of the greatest films of all time. The most notable, however, would have to be their 1990 movie Goodfellas, a classic film which was nominated for 6 oscars, winning one, and named the greatest film of all time by British film magazine Total Film, an organized crime movie which is one of my favorite movies.
The short film entitled “The Most Beautiful Thing” is about a smart and lonely boy in high school who falls for a girl who is also lonely and has special needs. This film came out in 2012 and Cameron Covell is the director, writer, and producer of the film. It is only about 11 minutes long, but it conveys a very powerful message about love. This short film is a great movie to watch because many people can relate to the struggles of the boy (Brandon), it is amazing to see who he falls in love with (Emily) and how she changes his world, and the courage displayed by both Brandon and Emily at the end of the film is astounding and encouraging.
Alcohol and drugs can trigger you to do stupid things that you will later regret in life or make you do things that you never wanted to do. People can learn from previous experience.
