When we were on kindergarten, techer taught us to do simple act like do unto others as you'd have others do unto you. Imagine how you'd feel if you were in the other person's shoes. Stand up for yourself, but try not to hurt people's feelings. Remember, your written words are readed by real people, all statement that you expressed to other people, all deserving of respectful communication. Before you say something to the others, just make sure that your words are not hurting people's feeling. For example, you can make an excuse like, "Would I be okay with this if someone else had written it ?".
