The male character in Michelle is trying to make the female character understand that he loves her but due to the language difference it is harder to tell her, yet even when knowing this he continues to be influenced to express his feelings. Similarity in the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo is conveyed to express how he view Juliet by saying “ So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows…”(The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. 1.5.48). When Romeo first lays eyes on Juliet he instantly has an attachment to her and only praises her beauty disregarding the other women in the room. He has this speech in where he is inspired to view her as perfect. Romeo exclaims “For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night.”(1.5.53). Before the capulet Romeo swore that he was in love with this other woman but then after he saw Juliet he had said that he had never saw true beauty until this night. Due to the fact that Romeo views Juliet as perfect and that he has this immediate attraction to her, he is inspired to tell her the truth and be honest with himself that he's never seen anything as beautiful as

Some of the literary devices are; similes, metaphors, and personification.
When considering what the two sources say about how male characters express their true emotions, we are to believe that when a man senses a strong attraction to someone, he is motivated to respond in a verbal action in such a way it transmits his inner emotions to the person. The narrative male voice in the song “Michelle” gives the perception to the emotions he feels towards the female character by saying “I love you, I want you, I want you, I want you” (Doc. 1). This exhibits to the audience the male character verbally confessing his love to the female character by using words. Similar to William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, the narrative male voice in this play recognized Juliet, “ Did my heart love till now?
The way that males show their attraction to females has become a reoccurring idea in common literature. “Michelle” is a song by Sir Paul McCartney. The song itself is sung towards a woman named Michelle, and shows that there is a language and potentially emotional barrier between them. William Shakespeare wrote a play by the name of “Romeo and Juliet”. It is a famous story about two young lovers who tragically kill themselves at the end due to communication errors between them.
The narrative voice in “Michelle” talks about the love he feels for her by repeating it to her,”I love you, I love you, I love you” (Doc.1). This restatement of love to her was something that he wanted her to hear and for many men it is a social construct that love is harder for them to express and when he began to repeat it, it was as if he began to build upon it to they point he was screaming about how he felt. Within the play of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo talks about seeing Juliet for the first time, “DId my heart love till now (Romeo and Juliet. 1.5.52)? Romeo asks the question of love as if it is something that is a new feeling that he never felt before and he does not ask it within his mind, nonetheless he felt the need for those around him to hear the sudden affectionate feelings he felt towards this lady he never met. Looking into the play Romeo and Juliet the reader sees many different ways that Romeo describes Juliet, “For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night”
Considering the narrative voices of males and their enthusiastic responses to female characters reveal how males express and perceive their romantic feelings. Sir Paul Mccartney wrote a song titles “Michelle”. In this song, the narrator expresses his love for a female named Michelle and his inability to tell her that he loves her. Lines 44-53 are an excerpt from the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. In this excerpt, Romeo expresses his love for the protagonist of the play, Juliet. Upon consideration of these sources, it becomes clear that males first express their romantic feelings for females by focusing on their beauty. Throughout the song, the narrator repeats, “Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble” (Doc.
‘’For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo’’ – William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet are star crossed lovers and their lives are cut short by death. In the play, Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare provides several of actions and influences that caused Juliet’s tragedy. The death of Juliet can be blamed on multiple factors. It is clear that she is partially to blame because of her personality flaw but also external forces such as family expectations played a role in her death.
In both pieces of evidence, a male figure expresses his strong feelings of affection towards a female figure. The song “Michelle” performed by The Beatles, illustrates the trouble of a man expressing his longing for a woman who he cannot reach because of the strong language barrier. He desperately states how he loves her so dearly and hopes that he can find another way to show his love for her through the French and English language barrier. Similarly, the play Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare explains the story of a male figure who falls in love with a female character with whom he cannot be associated because she is in the Capulet family. However, the male figure still continues to highlight the best features of the female.
In both songs and literature male characters often express their feelings to females who typically catch their eye. “Michelle” a song written by Sir Paul McCartney, describes a male who speaks French to a female who does not speak English in order to express his love for her. Similarly, Romeo in the play excerpt The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is introduced to Juliet and describes his love for her by saying lines of a poem that help him get across to Juliet, that he loves her. The narrator of the song affectionately says, “I love you, I love you, I love you” (Doc. 1). He uses repetitions of this
The ideology that everything in the universe has a specific place and rank in order of their hierarchy importance created by God is known as the concept of The Great Chain of Being. The order of this concept consisted levels according to highest rank to the lowest accordingly: God, angels, humanity, animals, vegetation life, leading all the way down to crud. Within each category, more specific classification existed, placing these subcategories in a specific order. This concept was believed to be a way to keep the universe in order. As this was believed during Elizabethan times, William Shakespeare also believed in the Great Chain of Being, as many of his plays are prominently based on this concept. Some of his plays include characters that accept their place on the Chain, but others are not so complacent. By examining three different characters from Shakespeare’s tragedies, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, The Tragedy of Macbeth, and The Tragedy of King Lear, it is obvious to readers who is content with their place on the Chain and which characters have a difficult time accepting their place. Romeo and Juliet do not obey their parents’ orders, therefore suffer harsh consequences towards the end of the play. Macbeth is another Shakespearean character that violates the Chain, due to the committing of several murders, in order to gain the throne. In stark contrast, Cordelia, is content with her place on the Chain as she does not want anything greater in life, unlike her
