Homer in The Iliad explained the scenes of the Trojan War. Both sides had many great heroes to fight. The Greeks had Menelaus and Achilles. Trojans had Hector and God like Paris. Even though heroes on both sides had many qualities, but I chose Hector as my partner. I chose Hector to defend me on the fields of Troy in battle.
Hector was prince of Troy. He was son of Priam and brother of God like Paris. Even though he had a lot of qualities to be chosen as a partner, the main reason I chose him as my partner is that he never forget his duties, he always did the right thing, and he always remind his other Trojan fellows about their duties. Following are some of the scenes from The Iliad which served as the reasons why I chose him as my partner in the battle.
God like Paris with the help of Aphrodite got Helen and vanished from the fields. The Trojans were feeling insecure as their leader left them at the battle fields alone and was having a good time with Helen. Hector was the one who went to Paris and reminded him of his duties and told him that how his deeds made The Trojans ashamed of themselves in front of The Greeks. Hector said, “Evil-hearted Paris, beautiful to look upon, woman mad and false of tongue. How much better if you had never been! Better far than to bring shame on us like this. Now the long-haired Greeks will laugh at us and say that our beautiful hero has no heart in him or courage.” (Homer 48)
