In this sense, the military is important to America, especially the Air Force. The Air Force provides security and safety to the people. Military lifestyles are usually not everybody’s first choice in the beginning. Particularly, the U.S. Air Force is not always is not always the first branch that comes to mind when thinking of the future. The U.S. Air Force offers economic safety and emotional stability. Many people in the United States are currently unemployed; the rate is actually 9.1 percent (Statistics). That rate was increased approximately one year ago, until recently it has declined. For someone to be considered as unemployed , they either do not obtain a stable job, or they have not been employed for approximately four weeks after being laid off (Characteristics). When people look for jobs, they are desperate for anything that comes their way whether it is a full time, part time or even a job where people get paid under the table.
