A Radiologist has a very hard job. This essay will talk about the basic job responsibilities, required steps necessary to secure employment, The average salary/ statistics, interesting facts, and information of what a person in this field knows/ does.
The basic job responsibilities. Radiologists are trained to assist other doctors and specialists to treat their patients by making a diagnosis and providing treatment using medical imaging. Radiologists have the medical knowledge to understand and explain medical problems or symptoms through the images or pictures that are taken of various parts of the inside of the body (InsideRadiology)
Radiologists have many career paths they can go down. The list being from Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET, and Nuclear Imaging:
Fluoroscopy is the a study of moving body structures--similar to an X-ray "movie." A continuous X-ray beam is passed through the body part being examined. The beam is transmitted to a TV-like monitor so that the body part and its motion can be seen in detail.
Ultrasound- is a medical ultrasonography used to visualize soft tissue structures in the body.
