Type and concentration of growth regulators were critical factors influencing organogenesis and callus formation from different explants. The frequency of shoot regeneration, number of shoots per explant and mean shoot length were distinctly affected by the type of explant (Rybczynski, 1975; Draper et al,. 1987; McHughen et al., 1989) and type and concentration of plant growth regulators in the regeneration medium (Bjowani and Razdan, 1990; Nichterlein et al. 1991; Chen et al. 1998; Dedicova et al., 2000). There is a distinct effect of media and growth regulators concentration on morphogenesis of linseed (Burbulis et al., 2007).
