The White House is the home and workplace of the President of the United States since 1800, which was first inhabited by John Adams. This house was home for forty-three of the forty-four Presidents of the United States, two of which have actually died in the Executive Mansion, but also the presidents did have family members who died within the walls of the White House. With all of the this house’s rich history, it may not be a surprise that it is rumored to be haunted, and is considered one of the most haunted houses in the United States. There are reports of sightings of past Presidents and spouses by different Presidents, their families, and foreign dignitaries.

The octagon House was built between 1799 and 1801. One of the most common Paranormal Activities would be the jingling of bells. When the house held bells, the dead servants would constantly ring them loudly. The ghostly bell ringing is said to have started in the mid-1800s. It is said that every night at the same time the bells would ring. It is also said that there are three ghosts that haunt the Octagon House. The first ghost is Dolley Madison who is the wife of James madison. Dolley Madison died in Washington, Dc and now haunts several buildings including the octagon house. The other two ghosts in this house are Colonel Tayloe’s daughters. Both of these girls fell to their death either down the stairs or over the rail of the stairs. One
On Saturday, June 26, 2000, horrifying events happened to a group of teenagers in a large mansion. This mansion is said to be the most haunted building in all of Oklahoma. Emma, Noah, Olivia, and Daniel had a rough night. It caused a lot of dreadful memories that will be penetrated in their minds forever. These kids just might find themselves in a situation.
Located on the grounds of Roanoke College’s campus is the reportedly haunted house known as Monterey. This house was built in 1853 by the Huff family, over time passed through many different owners, and in 2002 was officially bought by Roanoke College. Throughout the history of the house several of the occupants are known to have died within the premises of the property, thus contributing to it’s reputation of being haunted. In our investigation of the Monterey house we spent two nights in the house gathering various types of data to aid us in our attempt to discover what theory of haunting is consistent with the experiences within the house.

Though the author’s interest in ghost hunting, he responds to the questions in a rather biased way by including personal experiences, thoughts, and opinions. Hebron’s National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society held their 16th annual Haunted House on October 27th, October 28th, and October 29th. The theme of the haunted house was “Movie Monsters” and featured rooms such as a “Texas Chainsaw” and “Nightmare on Elm Street”. There was just over 1,000 people that attended, bringing in $5900! All of the money will be used to help buy presents for families in need at Christmas. Each of the students that helped work the event are given the opportunity to help shop and wrap presents for kids on Angel Trees in the community.
While kids will occupy their time with trick or treating and adults determining what to wear to the office costume party, one thing that many people enjoy is a haunted house. In my opinion I dont see why people like the haunted house expierence, Having your heart race, feeling scared, anxious, and not knowing what to expect around the corner.The haunted house expierence began in the early 1800’s with Marie Tussaud when she first opened her “Chamber of horrors” where she showed headless fearures of King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette. People became more interested in Haunted Houses when Disneyland opened there” Haunted Mansion”.Haunted house rates decreased when 8 teenagers were killed in a fire at a haunted house in New Jersey. Some people think the indrustry will evidentlly fade out but,A Halloween without haunted houses? Now that's a scary thought.
When I was seven I went to a haunted house. At first, I was very nervous to go in, but my brother reassured that I was fine and built my confidence. I entered the house and thought, “This isn’t too bad,” then a clown popped out and I screamed. I was always scared of clowns after that. All it took was one bad experience to trigger a fear of clowns. Transformations have been used in the telling of scary stories since the dawn of man. Anything can transform in a story, for example people, objects, animals, monsters, environments, setting, etc.
In Bluffton, Indiana, there is a house that sits on East Wiley Avenue. The house was built in 1910. It is believed that the house contains several spirits. The house is thought to host spirits, although no official deaths or catastrophic events have been recorded. Without these specific records it is hard to say whether or not the accusations are real.
There are many things in our world that we cannot explain. We’ve used religion, science, stories, and theories, anything we could come up with to explain life’s mysteries. One subject of interest that we are all still stumped on are things classified as paranormal. Paranormal activity is a very debatable topic, with some saying ghosts and poltergeists are as real as you and me, while others try to explain the weird happenings as something natural. Even if one believes in the paranormal or not, the subject is, to say the least, very interesting. All over the world, there are claims of supernatural things going on; there are ghost sightings every day, especially around historical places, more specifically where mass killings or bloody battles have taken place. One of these places that is famous for its ghostly visitors is the Tower of London, located in The London Borough of Tower Hamlets, England. Not only is the Tower of London a very interesting place because of its ghostly guests, but it also serves as an important place in history.
With influences from her students aid Emily Pippins and her students, Rachel Carothers created The Haunting of Lobo Manor with the intentions to not only scare customers, but to raise the finances for William Finn’s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a musical Little Elm High School will be presenting soon. Although I attended on October 28th, The Haunting of Lobo Manor was a 3-day haunted house located in Little Elm High Schools Black Box Theatre spanning from October 27th through October 29th of 2017 with a “Family Time” prior to the regular time with the exclusion of jumpscares and flashing lights. After a 15 minute walk to the school, I arrive when it's well and dark; the perfect time to go to a spooky event. After the pleasant performance by two boys from the Guitar Club while in waiting, I did enter the Black Box which held a dark environment with a few flashing lights exposing glimpses of red from the “blood” and “guts”.
