Fuel must be burned to extract oil from the ground and process it; and then more fuel must be burned just to transport the fuel to where we buy it! Scientists believe that it is carbon dioxide emissions that are responsible for climate change, specifically the global warming effect.

The primary cause of climate change is the burning of fossil fuels (oil and coal) which emits greenhouse gases into the atmosphere (mainly carbon dioxide) (What is climate change 2014). In addition, other human activities such as deforestation and agriculture also contribute to the proliferation of greenhouse gases, which cause Climate change (What is Being Done to Stop Climate Change).

The greenhouse effect, warming that occurs whenever the atmosphere traps heat from Earth towards space, is the main cause of global warming (NASA, 2016). Gases such as water vapor, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, and methane do not respond chemically to drastic changes in temperature, force climate change. One of the reasons for this is because of the deforestation of land for agriculture or industrial needs has increased concentration of green house gases.

Whether climate change occurred by human activities or naturally accruing phenomenon is a debatable issue. However, it may safely be said releasing carbon dioxide is one of the main reasons for climate change. Human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels from using transportation and maintaining agriculture are major contributions of greenhouse gases emissions, which lead to climate change. They can be solved by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The main reason the climate is changing is because people are adding greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. The most important greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide, which is released whenever people burn fossil fuels to do everyday activities like driving cars, heating buildings, and making electricity. As greenhouse gases build up in the atmosphere, they cause the Earth to trap extra heat, making the planet warmer.

Disruptive climate changes are a result of our actions. From 280 molecules of carbon dioxide in 1750 to a 384 presently is due to the rapid Industrial Revolution. The readers are convinced to an extent of the alarming increase of carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. These facts should help to galvanize people, governments, organizations and individuals to work on a better environment. Global Warming has been a big issue that has effects on the environment, people, and the world, and if not stopped now, the results could be catastrophic. The main cause of climate change is likely to be the result of too much carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. CO2 creates a blanket which traps heat. Burning fossil fuels for energy, such as coal, oil, and natural gas release CO2 which impacts the atmosphere heavily. Waste management and agricultural practices also produce gases that contribute to climate change, such as methane. There are many contributing factors to climate change.

She also clarifies the relationship that climate change and the politics of it and how it interacts with human activities.

A) Burning of fossil fuels-This is the most prominent and deadly source of climate change. Burning of fossil fuels can release greenhouse gases ranging from carbon dioxide to ammonia. With massive industrialization currently going on, the amount of fossil fuels burned is increasing. Transport and heating are also major energy sources. Almost 7 giga tonnes of Carbon dioxide is emitted per year. In the U.K three-fourths of energy produced comes from fossil fuels. Mineral fuels like petroleum and coal are major sources of energy. In the last 150 years more than 45 Billion tonnes of carbon dioxide has been emitted .The most problematic factor is that in the last decade; there has been no slowdown in carbon emissions.

Also air pollution can be caused indirectly, when we buy our food and other goods it uses energy to create, clean, and ship the item. The foremost way we cause air pollution is through emissions from vehicles, and even greenhouses use fossil fuels, the greenhouse effect makes it warmer. How the greenhouse effect works is that chemicals are let out into the atmosphere then some of the chemicals absorbs heat, some examples of greenhouse gases are nitrous oxide , methane, ozone, and carbon dioxide.

First, to be able to fully understand how climate change works, one must comprehend how climate change can occur. Climate changes because it reacts to whatever forces it to change at the time. So that means that currently, our climate is being forced to becoming warmer because of the chemicals being put into its atmosphere. A staggering amount of scientist believe that climate change is caused mainly due to the human use of fossil fuels. When fossil fuels are used, carbon dioxide is released along with other greenhouse gases into the air. Those gases trap the heat within the atmosphere. Some examples of ways humans use fossil fuels are oil, coal, and natural gas. Humans depend on theses fossil fuels to function everyday life. For example we use these fuels to heat our homes, run our vehicles, and are used in the power industry to produce electricity.
