Relation with Big-Five Personality Factors and Addictiveness
The Big- Five framework is a model of personality that contains five factors showing personality traits at a level: extraversion, neuroticism, openness to experiences, agreeableness, and conscientiousness (Correa, Hinsley, Zúñiga 2010). Extraversion is positively related to time spent on Facebook, people higher in agreeableness did make a greater number of postings about themselves than did less agreeable people, and more conscientious people would be less likely to use Facebook (Moore, Mcelroy 2012). Based on previous articles, the following hypotheses are proposed:
Hypothesis 1: People who are more extraverted will more likely be addicted to SNS.
Null : The result of people who are more extraverted will same or no relationship with the result of who are less extraverted.
Alternative : People who are more extraverted will less likely be addicted to SNS.
Hypothesis 2 : People who are more neuroticism will use social media more frequently.
Null : The result of people who are more neuroticism will same or no relationship with the result of who are less neuroticism.
Alternative : People who are more neuroticism will use social media less.
Hypothesis 3 : People who are more open to experiences will use social media more frequently.
Null : The result of people who are more open to experiences will same or no
