The world economy alters due to the unprecedented advancements of technology. The world’s largest corporations are experiencing a shift in power, as was stated by Greg Satell in his blog DigitalTonto. “We’ve recently seen Facebook go public with a $100 billion valuation and General Motors, formerly the world’s biggest company, go effectively bankrupt and need to be bailed out by the US government” (Satell, 2012). These phenomenal changes exemplify the advancement of the human race in terms of digital production; however, alternative issues are discovered as the current processes amend the older processes. The data flow created by the millions of users that login to websites for personal use exists as a substantial issue. For example, the social media site Facebook encounters plenty of users on a daily basis. According to Wired, “The company said that it now reaches more than a billion people every day and 1.65 billion people every month (Greenberg, 2016). The problem is that a lot of users are consuming a lot of the data that these websites need; the aftermath of a multitude of users is misplaced data and inaccurate data entry into the systems. As a result of the data errors, a plethora of users become dissatisfied with a corporation’s/firm’s services. Furthermore, the consumers may potentially attempt to find an alternative service that suits their needs.
