Introduction: McDonald is the world’s largest chain of fast-food chain of restaurants, which operates in the 119 countries of the world. It serves the 68 million customers daily. The company was first started in 1940 as small hamburger stand in California by Richard and Maurice McDonald. In 1948 it started to sell the hamburgers. In 1955 Ray Kroc joined the company as a franchise agent and then there was a massive growth for the company. The primary products of the McDonald’s are hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken burgers, French fries, breakfast beverages, milkshakes and deserts. It started its first “Drive-In Restaurant” service in 1961. In response to the changing people’s taste McDonald introduced fish, salads, wraps, smoothies and meals into its menu. McDonald headquarters is in the US, which operates 34000 restaurants worldwide. More than 75% of the restaurants are run by independent owners and they give royalty and percentage of the sales to the company. It gives employment to 10.7 million people worldwide. McDonald makes use of Management Information System for overall management and accessing of the information which has enabled it to be the global success and the largest food chain in the world. Also the use of the service friendly Information Technology systems and adapting the appropriate Customer Relation Management made the McDonalds to have a large base of the customers and to serve them in better and appropriate way.
