The Corruption in the World of Gatsby The amount of corruption in Gatsby’s world is similar to the amount that people see in everyday life in current times, but for people in the roaring 20’s the horrible acts went on behind the scenes of the glamor and the parties. The introduction of prohibition in 1920 gave people the ability to break laws and not be looked down upon by their peers.
